Summary

The cognitive computing is of our future world. There has been immense outgrowth in recent years in the development of cognitive computing. It has been widely applied in many areas of applications like smart city development, smart home development, continuous patient monitoring, cognitive robotics and environmental monitoring systems.

All these bring the necessity to handle big data computation with their continuous monitoring. Cognitive computing comes in when all these interact intelligently. This brings in importance of cognitive computing. In recent research, many cognitive algorithms are being developed exclusively to process the massive amounts of computing data. This special issue focuses on current trends and innovations in various cognitive computing algorithms.
