Abstract The novel coronavirus responsible for COVID-19 has spread to several countries within a considerably short period. The virus gets deposited in the human nasal cavity and moves to the lungs that might be fatal. As per safety guidelines by the World Health Organization (WHO), social distancing has emerged as one of the major factors to avoid the spread of infection. However, different guidelines are being followed across the countries with regards to what should be the safe distance. Thus, the current work is an attempt to understand the virus deposition pattern in the realistic human… More >

Abstract We have proposed a new mathematical method, the SEIHCRD model, which has an excellent potential to predict the incidence of COVID-19 diseases. Our proposed SEIHCRD model is an extension of the SEIR model. Three-compartments have added death, hospitalized, and critical, which improves the basic understanding of disease spread and results. We have studied COVID-19 cases of six countries, where the impact of this disease in the highest are Brazil, India, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. After estimating model parameters based on available clinical data, the model will propagate and forecast dynamic… More >

Abstract Current understanding about how the virus that causes COVID-19 spreads is largely based on what is known about similar coronaviruses. Some of the Natural products are suitable drugs against SARS-CoV-2 main protease. For recognizing a strong inhibitor, we have accomplished docking studies on the major virus protease with 4 natural product species as anti COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2), namely “Vidarabine”, “Cytarabine”, “Gemcitabine” and “Matrine” which have been extracted from Gillan’s leaves plants. These are known as Chuchaq, Trshvash, Cote-Couto and Khlvash in Iran. Among these four studied compounds, Cytarabine appears as a suitable compound with high effectiveness… More >

Multiparty Quantum Key Agreement With Strong Fairness Property

    Vankamamidi S. Naresh1,∗, Sivaranjani Reddi2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.35, No.6, pp. 457-465, 2020, DOI:10.32604/csse.2020.35.457

Abstract Multiparty Key Agreement (MKA) is the backbone for secure multiparty communication. Although numerous efficient MKA-cryptosystems are available in the classical field, their security relies on the assumption that some computational issues are infeasible. To overcome this dependency, a new area, quantum cryptography, evolves to support key agreement among two or more participants securely. In this paper, first, we present a two-part quantum key agreement with Strong Fairness Property (SFP) and extends it to a Multiparty Quantum Key Agreement (MQKA) protocol. In the first round of proposed MQKA, a participant will act as a group controller… More >

    Excellent Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance

Huanrong Tang, Yaojing Sun, Jianquan Ouyang*

    Journal of Cyber Security, Vol.2, No.4, pp. 167-182, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jcs.2020.011341 - 07 December 2020

Abstract With the rapid development of blockchain technology, more and more people are paying attention to the consensus mechanism of blockchain. Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT), as the first efficient consensus algorithm solving the Byzantine Generals Problem, plays an important role. But PBFT also has its problems. First, it runs in a completely closed environment, and any node can't join or exit without rebooting the system. Second, the communication complexity in the network is as high as O(n2), which makes the algorithm only applicable to small-scale networks. For these problems, this paper proposes an Optimized consensus… More >
