    Abstract Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is one of the cellulose derivatives produced as a result of the depolymerization of a part of cellulose to achieve high crystallinity. When implemented in other polymers, high crystallinity correlates with greater strength and stiffnes, but it can reduce the water-holding capacity. The acid concentration and hydrolysis time will affect the acquisition of crystallinity and water absorption capacity, both of which have significance as properties of hydrogel filler.     Identification and Molecular Characterization of the Alkaloid Biosynthesis Gene Family in Dendrobium catenatum

    Abstract As one of the main active components of Dendrobium catenatum, alkaloids have high medicinal value. The physicochemical properties, conserved domains and motifs, phylogenetic analysis, and cis-acting elements of the gene family members in the alkaloid biosynthesis pathway of D. catenatum were analyzed by bioinformatics, and the expression of the genes in different years and tissues was analyzed by qRT-PCR.     Abstract Dehydroabietyl polyethylene glycol glycidyl ether-grafted hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) polymer surfactant (DA(EO)5GE-g-HEC) was prepared using ring-opening polymerization with biobased rosin and hydroxyethyl cellulose as feedstocks. Dehydroabietyl polyethylene glycol glycidyl ether (DA(EO)5GE) was formed by condensation of dehydroabietyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (Rosin derivative: DA(EO)5H) and epichlorohydrin. The grafting degree of DA(EO)5GE-g-HEC was manipulated by adjusting the mass ratio of HEC and DA(EO)5GE and confirmed by EA. According to the formula, when m(HEC)/m(DA(EO)2GE) was 1:1~1:5, the grafting rate of DA(EO)5GE in DA(EO)5GE-g-HEC varied from 34.43% to 38.33%.     Abstract A silylated melamine sponge (SMS) was prepared by two simple steps, namely, immersion and dehydration of a melamine sponge coated with methyltrichlorosilane. The silylated structure of SMS was characterized by FT-IR (Fourier-transform infrared) spectroscopy, SEM (Scanning electron microscopy) and in terms of water contact angles. Its oil-water absorption and separation capacities were measured by FT-IR and UV-visible spectrophotometry.     Synthesis and characterization of manganese-doped FeS2 thin films via chemical spray pyrolysis

    Abstract A thin film of iron disulfide (FeS2) and Mn-doped was prepared using the chemical spray pyrolysis (CSP) method at a constant temperature of the glass substrate at around 400 °C. According to XRD examination, films were structurally cubic oriented with a predominant planar orientation (201).     Abstract The characterizations of synthesized CdZnS nanoparticles with Clitoria ternatea (Asian pigeon wings) leaf extract were done by the chemical precipitation method. The formation of CdZnS nanoparticles with the extract was confirmed by making use of XRD, SEM analysis and EDAX. XRD disclosed the structure and also the particle size.     Growth and characterization of bimetallic (Ni,Co) sulfide thin films deposited by spray pyrolysis

    Abstract In this work, the bimetallic (Ni,Co) sulfide film of 852.213 nm thickness was successfully deposited using the spray pyrolysis technique at 300 °C. The compound was prepared with a mixture of nickel acetate (C4H6O4Ni. 4H2O), cobalt chloride (CoCl2. 6H2O), and thiourea (CS(NH2)2) as precursors for Ni, Co, and S, respectively.     Abstract This study examined the properties of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as a matrix composite, specifically focusing on the characterization techniques of UV-Visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX). The investigation centered around a novel hybrid structure composed of CdZnS nanoparticles implanted within a composite matrix of PVA and Fe2O3. The analysis of microstructure data provided evidence of the influence of CdZnS nanoparticles on the structural characteristics of PVA–Fe2O3.     Characterization of undoped and doped CdS nano-thin films by ZnO for photocatalytic application
