    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.10, No.8, pp. 2263-2285, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2022.018911 - 25 April 2022

Abstract The shortage of natural aggregates is becoming a severe problem in the pavement industry globally. To address this issue, in this study, an effort was made to use reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and coal gangue (CG) as coarse and fine aggregate, respectively for producing the hot mix asphalt (HMA). As the replacement of natural aggregate, there were seven types of HMA containing 20% and 40% RAP coarse aggregate content, and 10% and 25% CG fine aggregate content were designed and prepared. In addition, Marshall Stability test, rutting resistance test, immersion Marshall test, freezing-thaw splitting test,… More > Graphic Abstract

    Abstract

People who are deaf or have difficulty speaking use sign language, which consists of hand gestures with particular motions that symbolize the “language” they are communicating. A gesture in a sign language is a particular movement of the hands with a specific shape from the fingers and whole hand. In this paper, we present an Intelligent for Deaf/Dumb People approach in real time based on Deep Learning using Gloves (IDLG). The approach IDLG offers scientific contributions based deep-learning, a multi-mode command techniques, real-time, and effective use, and high accuracy rates. For this purpose, smart gloves working in

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.2, pp. 3929-3943, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.026307 - 29 March 2022

Abstract The widespread use of the Internet of Things (IoT) applications has enormously increased the danger level of data leakage and theft in IoT as data transmission occurs through a public channel. As a result, the security of the IoT has become a serious challenge in the field of information security. Steganography on the network is a critical tool for preventing the leakage of private information and enabling secure and encrypted communication. The primary purpose of steganography is to conceal sensitive information in any form of media such as audio, video, text, or photos, and securely… More >

    Mohammad Aldossary1,*, Hatem A. Alharbi2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.2, pp. 3175-3193, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.026041 - 29 March 2022

Abstract Based on the Saudi Green initiative, which aims to improve the Kingdom's environmental status and reduce the carbon emission of more than 278 million tons by 2030 along with a promising plan to achieve net-zero carbon by 2060, NEOM city has been proposed to be the “Saudi hub” for green energy, since NEOM is estimated to generate up to 120 Gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy by 2030. Nevertheless, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector is considered a key contributor to global energy consumption and carbon emissions. The data centers are estimated to consume about… More >

Adaptive Multi-Cost Routing Protocol to Enhance Lifetime for Wireless Body Area Network

    Muhammad Mateen Yaqoob1, Waqar Khurshid1, Leo Liu2, Syed Zulqarnain Arif1, Imran Ali Khan1, Osman Khalid1,*, Raheel Nawaz2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.1, pp. 1089-1103, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024798 - 24 February 2022

Abstract Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) technologies are emerging with extensive applications in several domains. Health is a fascinating domain of WBAN for smart monitoring of a patient's condition. An important factor to consider in WBAN is a node's lifetime. Improving the lifetime of nodes is critical to address many issues, such as utility and reliability. Existing routing protocols have addressed the energy conservation problem but considered only a few parameters, thus affecting their performance. Moreover, most of the existing schemes did not consider traffic prioritization which is critical in WBANs. In this paper, an adaptive More >
