Abstract The scale of deer breeding has gradually increased in recent years and better information management is necessary, which requires the identification of individual deer. In this paper, a deer face dataset is produced using face images obtained from different angles, and an improved residual neural network (ResNet)-based recognition model is proposed to extract the features of deer faces, which have high similarity. The model is based on ResNet-50, which reduces the depth of the model, and the network depth is only 29 layers; the model connects Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) modules at each of the four layers… More >

Leucémie à Tricholeucocytes et Autres Proliférations à Cellules Chevelues: Diagnostic et Traitement

    Elsa Maitre, Xavier Troussard*

    Oncologie, Vol.24, No.1, pp. 3-24, 2022, DOI:10.32604/oncologie.2022.021490 - 31 March 2022

More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.1, pp. 1035-1052, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024201 - 24 February 2022

Abstract This paper proposes an artificial neural network for monitoring and detecting the eccentric error of synchronous reluctance motors. Firstly, a 15 kW synchronous reluctance motor is introduced and took as a case study to investigate the effects of eccentric rotor. Then, the equivalent magnetic circuits of the studied motor are analyzed and developed, in cases of dynamic eccentric rotor and static eccentric rotor condition, respectively. After that, the analytical equations of the studied motor are derived, in terms of its air-gap flux density, electromagnetic torque, and electromagnetic force, followed by the electromagnetic finite element analyses. Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.6, pp. 1227-1244, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.019278 - 14 February 2022

Abstract Plants have evolved constitutive and inductive defense mechanisms to protect themselves from herbivorous insects. Metabolites in plants are thought to be involved in response to herbivores. Bambusa emeiensis is an important bamboo species widely distributed in Southwest China. It is easy to attract herbivores such as Cyrtotrachelus buqueti. Through the detection and analysis of metabolites in B. emeiensis metabolomic data, 35 differential metabolites (biomarkers) were finally identified from 206 detection peaks, mainly primary metabolites. Subsequently, we conducted an association analysis between 35 biomarkers that annotated to be involved in 71 metabolic pathways in the metabolome and 324 differentially… More >

    Zun Bi1,2,3, Ke Jia1,2,3, Yunfei Liu1,2,3,*, Yinong Lyu1,2,3,*

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.10, No.2, pp. 431-451, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2022.016735 - 30 August 2021

Abstract A series of uniform single-phase spherical BaWO4: Dy3+, Tm3+, Eu3+ phosphors were prepared via a microwave hydrothermal method by using trisodium citrate dehydrate as surfactant. The phase structure, morphology and photoluminescence properties were measured by powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and fluorescence spectrometer, respectively. The results show that uniform spherical microcrystals with diameters in the range of 2–4 μm are obtained. And the phase and morphology of samples are not significantly changed by doping rare earth (RE3+) ions. Under the excitation wavelength of 356 and 365 nm, the samples BaWO4: 0.03Dy3+, yTm3+ can emit cold white light. In order… More >

Abstract Microorganisms are a huge mine of bioactive metabolites, and actinomycetes are one of the very active groups in this area. In this article, we are concerned about the full taxonomical characterization of Streptomyces lividans AM, isolated from Egyptian soil. This isolate produced three new bioactive metabolites, namely: 1-Nona-decanoyl,4-oleyl disuccinate (1), filoboletic acid; (9Z,11E)-8,13-dihydroxy octadeca-9,11-dienoic acid (2), and sitosteryl-3β-D-glucoside (3). Extensive 1D and 2D NMR and HR-mass spectrometry were used to elucidate the structures of the three compounds. Moreover, ten known compounds were also identified. The antimicrobial activity of the producing organism and newly reported compounds (1–3) More >

PSO Based Torque Ripple Minimization Of Switched Reluctance Motor Using FPGA Controller

    A. Manjula1,*, L. Kalaivani2, M. Gengaraj2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.29, No.2, pp. 451-465, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.016088 - 16 June 2021

Abstract The fast-growing field of mechanical robotization necessitates a well-designed and controlled version of electric drives. The concept of control concerning mechanical characteristics also requires a methodology in which the system needs to be modeled precisely and deals with uncertainty. The proposed method provides the enhanced performance of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) by controlling its speed and minimized torque ripple. Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers have drawn more attention in industry automation due to their ease and robustness. The performances are further improved by using fractional order (Non-integer) controllers. The Modified Particle Swarm Optimization (MPSO) based optimization approach… More >

Abstract This study evaluated the difference in treatment response and survival profiles between drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) and conventional transarterial chemoembolization (cTACE) treatments in Chinese hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. A total of 120 HCC patients were consecutively enrolled in this prospective cohort study, which showed that DEB-TACE achieved higher complete response (CR) (30.8%) compared with cTACE (7.4%) with no difference in overall response rate (ORR) for patients treated with DEB-TACE and cTACE (80.8% vs. 73.5%). In addition, DEB-TACE was associated with a lower rate of progressive disease (PD) compared with cTACE (1.9% vs. 11.8%). With… More >
