    Abstract In this paper, the path independent mutual or M-integral for the computation of the T-stress for interface cracks between dissimilar anisotropic, linear elastic solids, is developed. The required auxiliary field solution is derived from the solution of the problem of an anisotropic composite wedge subjected to a point force at its apex. The Boundary Element Method (BEM) is employed for the numerical stress analysis in which special crack-tip elements with the proper oscillatory traction singularity are used.     Abstract The passive electric potential CT (computed tomography) method using piezoelectric film was applied to the identification of plural through cracks. The use of piezoelectric material made it possible to obtain electric potential field without applying electric current.     Abstract Modern medicine offers multiple treatment options to prolong the survival of patients with prostate cancer. However, in the absence of adequate supportive care, the systemic effects of prostate cancer and therapies such as androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) can undermine skeletal integrity, resulting in skeletal complications. Skeletal morbidity contributes to the erosion in quality of life in patients with prostate cancer. These patients are at risk for fractures from cancer treatment-induced bone loss and, later on, pathologic fractures from bone metastases, which may occur during the progression of prostate cancer.     Abstract Objective: To assess the efficacy of CT angiography (CTA) in evaluating the renovascular anatomy in 50 patients who underwent laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, and to correlate results with donor morbidity and recipient outcome.
    Methods: Forty-eight patients were evaluated by CTA prior to laparoscopy.     Abstract Objective: The Proscar Long-Term Efficacy and Safety Study (PLESS) and the Medical Therapy of Prostatic Symptoms (MTOPS) study provide new evidence regarding the benefits of finasteride in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The objective of this study was to utilize data from the PLESS and MTOPS studies to assess the cost-utility of finasteride and finasteride in combination with doxazosin, compared to doxazosin alone in men with moderate to severe BPH symptoms.
