    Abstract Introduction: The purpose of this investigation was to determine whether prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is produced by rabbit detrusor muscle that is free of urothelium, and to demonstrate that PGE2 is responsible for the generation of spontaneous rhythmic contractions (SRC).
    Materials and Methods: A bioassay was conducted in which the contraction frequency of rabbit detrusor strips was compared before and after the addition of superfusate obtained from incubated sections of rabbit detrusor.     Abstract The application of a particle method to incompressible viscous fluid flow problems is presented. The method is based on the MPS (Moving Particle Semi-implicit) scheme using logarithmic weighting function. Numerical results demonstrate the workability and the validity of the present approach through incompressible viscous fluid flow in a driven cavity and flow behavior in a liquid ring pump with rotating impeller blades.     Ungated extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy: safe and effective in the pediatric population

    Abstract Purpose: Ungated extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (SWL) is unsynchronized to the patient's electrocardiogram. Although ungated extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (SWL) is associated with cardiac arrhythmias in adults, the incidence of arrhythmias in children has not been established. We report on the safety and efficacy of ungated SWL of renal calculi in children.
    Materials and methods: We evaluated all children less than 18 years of age undergoing ungated SWL for renal calculi. Lithotripsy with gradual incremental energy increase was used to treat the stones. Patients were monitored for arrhythmias and other standard monitoring intraoperatively and postoperatively.

    Abstract This paper presents a summary of recent developments in computational methods for multibody dynamics analyses. The developments are presented within the context of an automated numerical analysis. The intent of the paper is to provide a basis for the easy development of computational algorithms.
