    A Computational Fluid Dynamics Study of a 2D Airfoil in Hovering Flight Under Ground Effect

    Abstract We present a 2D incompressible Navier-Stokes numerical simulation of a virtual model of an elliptic, or flat plate, foil in hovering flight configuration. Computations obtained with a general purpose solver were validated against reference data on forward flapping flight, normal or dragonfly hovering. The moving mesh technique allows airfoil translation and angular mesh movement accompaining the airfoil stroke motion.     An investigation on the regularized meshless method for irregular domain problems

    Abstract The regularized meshless method (RMM) is a novel boundary-type meshless method but by now has mainly been tested successfully to the regular domain problems in reports. This note makes a further investigation on its solution of irregular domain problems. We find that the method fails to produce satisfactory results for some benchmark problems. The reason is due to the inaccurate calculation of the diagonal elements of the numerical discretization matrix in the original RMM, which have strong effect on the resulting solution accuracy.     Abstract Purpose: Peyronie's disease is characterized by plaque formation within the tunica albuginea of the penile corpora cavernosa. The exact etiology of Peyronie's is uncertain at this time, and multiple treatment options exist. Following a literature review, a treatment algorithm has been developed to streamline decisions for both medical and surgical intervention.
    Methods: A review of the Medline literature published between 1940 and 2008 was performed looking at the history, pathophysiology, medical and surgical treatments for Peyronie's disease.

    Abstract In this paper, the effects of four vermicomposts are analyzed on a variety of growth and development parameters of Digitaria eriantha cv. Mejorada INTA.     Abstract A geometrically nonlinear finite element analysis of a low areal density composite space reflector is conducted under static conditions and the results are compared with independently carried out experimental data. The finite element analysis is based on an assumed strain formulation of a geometrically nonlinear nine-node solid shell element. Numerical results are in good agreement with experimental data.
