    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1157-1179, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.08358 - 20 August 2020

Abstract Flexoelectricity is a general electromechanical phenomenon where the electric polarization exhibits a linear dependency to the gradient of mechanical strain and vice versa. The truncated pyramid compression test is among the most common setups to estimate the flexoelectric effect. We present a three-dimensional isogeometric formulation of flexoelectricity with its MATLAB implementation for a truncated pyramid setup. Besides educational purposes, this paper presents a precise computational model to illustrate how the localization of strain gradients around pyramidal boundary shapes contributes in generation of electrical energy. The MATLAB code is supposed to help learners in the Isogeometric More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.1, pp. 107-119, 2020, DOI:10.31209/2019.100000132

Abstract The issue of battery drainage in the gigantic smart meters network such as semantic-aware IoT-enabled smart meter has become a serious concern in the smart grid framework. The grid core migrates existing tabular datasets i.e., Relational data to semantic-aware tuples in its Resource Description Framework (RDF) format, for effective integration among multiple components to work aligned with IoT. For this purpose, WWW Consortium (W3C) recommends two specifications as mapping languages. However, both specifications use entire RDB schema to generate data transformation mapping patterns and results large quantity of unnecessary transformation. As a result, smart meters… More >

Knowledge Graph Representation Reasoning for Recommendation System

Tao Li, Hao Li*, Sheng Zhong, Yan Kang, Yachuan Zhang, Rongjing Bu, Yang Hu

    Journal of New Media, Vol.2, No.1, pp. 21-30, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jnm.2020.09767 - 14 August 2020

Abstract In view of the low interpretability of existing collaborative filtering recommendation algorithms and the difficulty of extracting information from content-based recommendation algorithms, we propose an efficient KGRS model. KGRS first obtains reasoning paths of knowledge graph and embeds the entities of paths into vectors based on knowledge representation learning TransD algorithm, then uses LSTM and soft attention mechanism to capture the semantic of each path reasoning, then uses convolution operation and pooling operation to distinguish the importance of different paths reasoning. Finally, through the full connection layer and sigmoid function to get the prediction ratings, More >

Abstract Rocket sleds belong to a category of large-scale test platforms running on the ground. The applications can be found in many fields, such as aerospace engineering, conventional weapons, and civil high-tech products. In the present work, shock-wave/rail-fasteners interaction is investigated numerically when the rocket sled is in supersonic flow conditions. Two typical rocket sled models are considered, i.e., an anti-D shaped version of the rocket sled and an axisymmetric slender-body variant. The dynamics for Mach number 2 have been simulated in the framework of a dynamic mesh method. The emerging shock waves can be categorized More >

Device-Independent Quantum Key Distribution Protocol Based on Hyper-Entanglement

    Yan Chang1, *, Shibin Zhang1, Lili Yan1, Xueyang Li1, Tian Cao1, Qirun Wang2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.1, pp. 879-896, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010042 - 23 July 2020

Abstract The secure key rate of quantum key distribution (QKD) is greatly reduced because of the untrusted devices. In this paper, to raise the secure key rate of QKD, a device-independent quantum key distribution (DIQKD) protocol is proposed based on hyper-entangled states and Bell inequalities. The security of the protocol is analyzed against the individual attack by an adversary only limited by the no-signaling condition. Based on the formalization of Clauser-Horne Shimony-Holt (CHSH) violation measurement on local correlation, the probability of a secure secret bit is obtained, which is produced by a pair of hyper-entangled particles. Abstract Word similarity (WS) is a fundamental and critical task in natural language processing. Existing approaches to WS are mainly to calculate the similarity or relatedness of word pairs based on word embedding obtained by massive and high-quality corpus. However, it may suffer from poor performance for insuf- ficient corpus in some specific fields, and cannot capture rich semantic and sentimental information. To address these above problems, we propose an enhancing embedding-based word similarity evaluation with character-word concepts and synonyms knowledge, namely EWS-CS model, which can provide extra semantic information to enhance word similarity evaluation.
