    Hui Wang1,2, Shiqin He1,*, Xiaoqiang Yin3, Zeyang Cao1

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.14, No.2, pp. 95-108, 2020, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2020.06595 - 23 June 2020

Abstract In marine environments, reinforced concrete bridge structures are subjected to cyclic loads and chloride ingress, which results in corrosion of the reinforcing bars, early deterioration, durability loss, and a considerable reduction in the fatigue strength. Owing to the complexity of the problem and the difficulty of testing, there are few studies on the fatigue performance of concrete structures under the combined action of corrosion environment and cyclic load. Therefore, a coupling test device for corrosion and cyclic load is designed and fatigue tests of reinforced concrete beams in air environments and chlorine salt corrosive environments… More >

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.89, No.3, pp. 645-656, 2020, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2020.010532 - 22 June 2020

Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of various presowing treatments on the germinability (final germination percentage) and germination rate of loquat seeds in order to increase seedling production in nurseries (applied research) as well as provide answers for important physiological issues related to loquat seeds and their seed coat (basic research). Three experiments were carried out with various pre-sowing treatments. These treatments included full or partial removal of seed coat (perisperm), partial cutting of cotyledons as well as moist chilling at 5°C for 13 days and/or soaking the seeds in water… More >

A Re-Parametrization-Based Bayesian Differential Analysis Algorithm for Gene Regulatory Networks Modeled with Structural Equation Models

    Yan Li1,2, Dayou Liu1,2, Yungang Zhu1,2, Jie Liu1,2,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.124, No.1, pp. 303-313, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.09353 - 19 June 2020

Abstract Under different conditions, gene regulatory networks (GRNs) of the same gene set could be similar but different. The differential analysis of GRNs under different conditions is important for understanding condition-specific gene regulatory relationships. In a naive approach, existing GRN inference algorithms can be used to separately estimate two GRNs under different conditions and identify the differences between them. However, in this way, the similarities between the pairwise GRNs are not taken into account. Several joint differential analysis algorithms have been proposed recently, which were proved to outperform the naive approach apparently. In this paper, we… More >

A Controlled Quantum Dialogue Protocol Based on Quantum Walks

    Jinqiao Dai1, Shibin Zhang1, *, Yan Chang1, Xueyang Li1, Tao Zheng1, Jinyue Xia2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.2, pp. 1247-1260, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010550 - 10 June 2020

Abstract In order to enable two parties to exchange their secret information equally, we propose a controlled quantum dialogue protocol based on quantum walks, which implements the equal exchange of secret information between the two parties with the help of the controller TP. The secret information is transmitted via quantum walks, by using this method, the previously required entangled particles do not need to be prepared in the initial phase, and the entangled particles can be produced spontaneously via quantum walks. Furthermore, to resist TP’s dishonest behavior, we use a hash function to verify the correctness More >

Experimental Research on the Physical and Mechanical Properties of Concrete with Recycled Plastic Aggregates

    Haikuan Wu1,2, Changwu Liu1,2,*, Song Shi1,2, Kangliang Chen1,2

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.8, No.7, pp. 727-738, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2020.09589 - 01 June 2020

Abstract In order to study the effect of recycled plastic particles on the physical and mechanical properties of concrete, recycled plastic concrete with 0, 3%, 5% and 7% content (by weight) was designed. The compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and the change of mass caused by water absorption during curing were measured. The results show that the strength of concrete is increased by adding recycled plastic into concrete. Among them, the compressive strength and the splitting tensile strength of concrete is the best when the plastic content is 5%. With the increase of plastic content, the… More >

The Influence of Entanglements of Net Chains on Phase Transition Temperature of Sensitive Hydrogels in Chemo-Mechanical Coupled Fields

    Tao Li1, Qingsheng Yang1, *, Lianhua Ma2, Xiaojun Zhang2, *

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.123, No.3, pp. 995-1014, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.09152 - 28 May 2020

Abstract Phase transition of hydrogel, which is polymerized by polymer network, can be regarded as the transition of polymer network stability. The stability of the polymer network might be changed when the external environment changed. This change will lead to the transformation of sensitive hydrogels stability, thus phase transition of hydrogel take place. Here, we present a new free density energy function, which considers the non-gaussianity of the polymer network, chains entanglement and functionality of junctions through adding Gent hyplastic model and Edwards-Vilgis slip-link model to Flory-Huggins theory. A program to calculate the phase transition temperature More >

Numerical Study of High-Temperature Nonequilibrium Flow around Reentry Vehicle Coupled with Thermal Radiation

Jingying Wang, Fangzhou Han*, Li Lei, Chunhian Lee

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.16, No.3, pp. 601-613, 2020, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2020.09624 - 25 May 2020

Abstract Accurate aerodynamic heating prediction is of great significance to current manned space flight and deep space exploration missions. The temperature in the shock layer surrounding the reentry vehicle can reach up to 10,000 K and result in remarkable thermochemical nonequilibrium, as well as considerable radiative heat transfer. In general, high-temperature flow simulations coupled with thermal radiation require appropriate numerical schemes and physical models. In this paper, the equations governing hypersonic nonequilibrium flow, based on a three-temperature model combined with a thermal radiation solving approach, are used to investigate the radiation effects in the reentry shock… More >

A Novel Method to against Quantum Noises in Quantum Teleportation

    Shengyao Wu1, Wenjie Liu2, Zhiguo Qu3, *

    Journal of Quantum Computing, Vol.2, No.1, pp. 33-55, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jqc.2019.08898 - 28 May 2020

Abstract In order to improve the anti-noise performance of quantum teleportation, this paper proposes a novel dynamic quantum anti-noise scheme based on the quantum teleportation which transmits single qubit state using Bell state. Considering that quantum noise only acts on the transmitted qubit, i.e., the entangled state that Alice and Bob share in advance is affected by the noise, thus affecting the final transmission result. In this paper, a method for dynamically adjusting the shared entangled state according to the noise environment is proposed. By calculating the maximum fidelity of the output state to determine the More >

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.8, No.6, pp. 687-702, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2020.09513 - 12 May 2020

Abstract The steel-bamboo composite structure is a newly developed structure, combining phyllostachys pubescens (also called Moso bamboo) plywood and cold-formed thin-walled steel with structural adhesive. The reliability of steelbamboo interface is the premise of composite effect. 13 specimens were prepared to investigate the failure modes and mechanism of the steel-bamboo interface on the basis of push-out test, and the strain difference analysis method was proposed to study the distribution of shear stress. The results show that the main failure modes of steel-bamboo interface are adhesion failure and splitting of bamboo plywood. The shear stress is not More >
