Monolayer MoS2/n-Si Heterostructure Schottky Solar Cell

    Omar Salih Omar*

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.10, No.7, pp. 1979-1988, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2022.018765 - 07 March 2022

Abstract Monolayer MoS2 has a promising optoelectronics property, with a bandgap in the visible range; the material is a potential candidate for solar cell applications. In this work, we grew MoS2 monolayers using a low-pressure chemical vapor deposition approach. To produce uniform wafer-scale MoS2 monolayer films, precursors molybdenum dioxide (MoO2) and sulfur (S) are utilized. Atomic force microscopy was used to quantify the thickness of the monolayers, and the result was validated by Raman spectroscopy. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was used to confirm the crystalline quality of the monolayers, and photoluminescence spectroscopy was used to evaluate their optical More >

    Daqin Zhang1,2, Chufeng Yang3, Huayang Ran1,2, Juanli Wang1,2,*, Jintao Wan1,2,*, Yuhu Li1,2, Pujun Jin1,2, Daodao Hu1,2

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.10, No.7, pp. 1797-1811, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2022.018754 - 07 March 2022

Abstract The development of efficient green flame retardants is an important way to realize more sustainable epoxy thermosets and downstream materials. In this work, a monoepoxide is synthesized through O-glycidylation of eugenol, and then reacted with DOPO (9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphophenanthrene-10-oxide) to obtain a new bio-based flame retardant, DOPO-GE. DOPO-GE is blended with a bisphenol A epoxy prepolymer exhibiting good compatibility and DDS (4,4′-diaminodiphenylsulfone) is used as the curing agent to afford epoxy thermosets. Although DOPO-GE leads to the reduced glass transition temperature of the thermosets, the storage modulus increases considerably. The DOPO-GE-modified thermosets exhibit the high thermal stability… More >

Abstract Grain size traits are critical agronomic traits which directly determine grain yield, but the genetic bases of these traits are still not well understood. In this study, a total of 154 chromosome segment substitution lines (CSSLs) population derived from a cross between a japonica variety Koshihikari and an indica variety Nona Bokra was used to investigate grain length (GL), grain width (GW), length-width ratio (LWR), grain perimeter (GP), grain area (GA), and thousand grain weight (TGW) under four environments. QTL mapping analysis of six grain size traits was performed by QTL IciMapping 4.2 with an inclusive… More >

    Yaser Saber1,2, Fahad Alsharari1,6,*, Florentin Smarandache3, Mohammed Abdel-Sattar4,5

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.130, No.3, pp. 1625-1648, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.017782 - 30 December 2021

Abstract This article aims to present new terms of single-valued neutrosophic notions in the Šostak sense, known as single-valued neutrosophic regularity spaces. Concepts such as r-single-valued neutrosophic semi £-open, r-single-valued neutrosophic pre-£-open, r-single valued neutrosophic regular-£-open and r-single valued neutrosophic α£-open are defined and their properties are studied as well as the relationship between them. Moreover, we introduce the concept of r-single valued neutrosophic θ£-cluster point and r-single-valued neutrosophic γ £-cluster point, r-θ£-closed, and θ£-closure operators and study some of their properties. Also, we present and investigate the notions of r-single-valued neutrosophic θ£-connectedness and r-single valued neutrosophic δ£-connectedness and investigate relationship More >

    Li Wang1,2,#, Rongbai Tong3,#, Juanli Wang1,2,*, Jintao Wan1,2,*, Yuhu Li1,2, Pujun Jin1,2, Daodao Hu1,2

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.10, No.5, pp. 1349-1364, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2022.019372 - 22 December 2021

Abstract Quest for bio-based halogen-free green flame retardant has attracted many concerns in recent years. Herein a reactive functional flame retardant containing phosphorus VDP is synthesized from vanillin, 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphophene-10-oxide (DOPO) and phenol via a facile way. VDP is characterized with 1H NMR, 31P NMR, FTIR and Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry, and used as a new reactive flame retardant for bisphenol epoxy thermosets. Thermogravimetry analysis shows that when the VDP loading is only 0.5P% (based on phosphorus content), the residue increases from 14.2% to 21.1% at 750°C in N2 compare with neat DGEBA. Correspondingly, the limit oxygen index… More >

Reliability Analysis for Retaining Pile in Foundation Pit Based on Bayesian Principle

Yousheng Deng, Chengpu Peng*, Jialin Su, Lingtao Li, Liqing Meng, Long Li

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.130, No.2, pp. 1135-1148, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.018349 - 13 December 2021

Abstract Moso bamboo has the advantages of high short-term strength and reproducibility, appropriating for temporary supporting structure of shallow foundation pit. According to the displacement of the pile top from an indoor model test, the reliability of the supporting effect of the moso bamboo pile was analyzed. First, the calculation formula of reliability index was deduced based on the mean-value first-order second-moment (MVFOSM)method and probability theory under ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. Then, the dimensionless bias factor (the ratio of the measured value to the calculated value) was introduced to normalize the displacement. The… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.130, No.2, pp. 1017-1031, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.018066 - 13 December 2021

Abstract The neutrality’s origin, character, and extent are studied in the Neutrosophic set. The neutrosophic set is an essential issue to research since it opens the door to a wide range of scientific and technological applications. The neutrosophic set can find its spot to research because the universe is filled with indeterminacy. Neutrosophic set is currently being developed to express uncertain, imprecise, partial, and inconsistent data. Truth membership function, indeterminacy membership function, and falsity membership function are used to express a neutrosophic set in order to address uncertainty. The neutrosophic set produces more rational conclusions in… More >

Abstract Biomedical image analysis has been exploited considerably by recent technology involvements, carrying about a pattern shift towards ‘automation’ and ‘error free diagnosis’ classification methods with markedly improved accurate diagnosis productivity and cost effectiveness. This paper proposes an automated deep learning model to diagnose skin disease at an early stage by using Dermoscopy images. The proposed model has four convolutional layers, two maxpool layers, one fully connected layer and three dense layers. All the convolutional layers are using the kernel size of 3 * 3 whereas the maxpool layer is using the kernel size of 2… More >
