    Deng Qin1, Xing Du2, Tian Li1,*, Jiye Zhang1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.139, No.2, pp. 2155-2173, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.044460

Abstract Reducing the aerodynamic drag and noise levels of high-speed pantographs is important for promoting environmentally friendly, energy efficient and rapid advances in train technology. Using computational fluid dynamics theory and the K-FWH acoustic equation, a numerical simulation is conducted to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of high-speed pantographs. A component optimization method is proposed as a possible solution to the problem of aerodynamic drag and noise in high-speed pantographs. The results of the study indicate that the panhead, base and insulator are the main contributors to aerodynamic drag and noise in high-speed pantographs. Therefore, a gradual optimization process is implemented to… More >

    Jiawei Shi, Jiye Zhang*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.139, No.2, pp. 2175-2195, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.043539

Abstract Combining the detached eddy simulation (DES) method and Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings (FW-H) equation, the effect of bogie cavity end wall inclination on the flow field and aerodynamic noise in the bogie region is numerically studied. First, the simulation is conducted based on a simplified cavity-bogie model, including five cases with different inclination angles of the front and rear walls of the cavity. By comparing and analyzing the flow field and acoustic results of the five cases, the influence of the regularity and mechanism of the bogie cavity end wall inclination on the flow field and the aerodynamic noise of the bogie… More >

    Chaoqian He1,2, Runfang Hao1,2,*, Kun Yang1,2, Zhongyun Yuan1,2, Shengbo Sang1,2, Xiaorui Wang1,2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.77, No.3, pp. 3423-3442, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.045718

Abstract Intelligent fault diagnosis in modern mechanical equipment maintenance is increasingly adopting deep learning technology. However, conventional bearing fault diagnosis models often suffer from low accuracy and unstable performance in noisy environments due to their reliance on a single input data. Therefore, this paper proposes a dual-channel convolutional neural network (DDCNN) model that leverages dual data inputs. The DDCNN model introduces two key improvements. Firstly, one of the channels substitutes its convolution with a larger kernel, simplifying the structure while addressing the lack of global information and shallow features. Secondly, the feature layer combines data from different sensors based on their… More >

Adaptive Multi-Feature Fusion for Vehicle Micro-Motor Noise Recognition Considering Auditory Perception

    Ting Zhao1, Weiping Ding1, Haibo Huang1, Yudong Wu1,2,*

    Sound & Vibration, Vol.57, pp. 133-153, 2023, DOI:10.32604/sv.2023.044203

Abstract The deployment of vehicle micro-motors has witnessed an expansion owing to the progression in electrification and intelligent technologies. However, some micro-motors may exhibit design deficiencies, component wear, assembly errors, and other imperfections that may arise during the design or manufacturing phases. Consequently, these micro-motors might generate anomalous noises during their operation, consequently exerting a substantial adverse influence on the overall comfort of drivers and passengers. Automobile micro-motors exhibit a diverse array of structural variations, consequently leading to the manifestation of a multitude of distinctive auditory irregularities. To address the identification of diverse forms of abnormal noise, this research presents a… More > Graphic Abstract

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.3, pp. 2339-2356, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.030898

Abstract This study develops an Enhanced Threshold Based Energy Detection approach (ETBED) for spectrum sensing in a cognitive radio network. The threshold identification method is implemented in the received signal at the secondary user based on the square law. The proposed method is implemented with the signal transmission of multiple outputs-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing. Additionally, the proposed method is considered the dynamic detection threshold adjustments and energy identification spectrum sensing technique in cognitive radio systems. In the dynamic threshold, the signal ratio-based threshold is fixed. The threshold is computed by considering the Modified Black Widow Optimization Algorithm (MBWO). So, the proposed… More > Graphic Abstract

    Ying Zhang1, Wei Li1,*, Guidong Yang1, Snezana Kirin2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.3, pp. 2177-2199, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.030728

Abstract The Mean First-Passage Time (MFPT) and Stochastic Resonance (SR) of a stochastic tumor-immune model with noise perturbation are discussed in this paper. Firstly, considering environmental perturbation, Gaussian white noise and Gaussian colored noise are introduced into a tumor growth model under immune surveillance. As follows, the long-time evolution of the tumor characterized by the Stationary Probability Density (SPD) and MFPT is obtained in theory on the basis of the Approximated Fokker-Planck Equation (AFPE). Herein the recurrence of the tumor from the extinction state to the tumor-present state is more concerned in this paper. A more efficient algorithm of Back-Propagation Neural… More >

Attention-Based Residual Dense Shrinkage Network for ECG Denoising

    Dengyong Zhang1,2, Minzhi Yuan1,2, Feng Li1,2, Lebing Zhang3,*, Yanqiang Sun4, Yiming Ling5

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.3, pp. 2809-2824, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.029181

Abstract Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal is one of the noninvasive physiological measurement techniques commonly used in cardiac diagnosis. However, in real scenarios, the ECG signal is susceptible to various noise erosion, which affects the subsequent pathological analysis. Therefore, the effective removal of the noise from ECG signals has become a top priority in cardiac diagnostic research. Aiming at the problem of incomplete signal shape retention and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) after denoising, a novel ECG denoising network, named attention-based residual dense shrinkage network (ARDSN), is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the shallow ECG characteristics are extracted by a shallow feature extraction network… More >

A Differential Privacy Federated Learning Scheme Based on Adaptive Gaussian Noise

    Sanxiu Jiao1, Lecai Cai2,*, Xinjie Wang1, Kui Cheng2, Xiang Gao3

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.2, pp. 1679-1694, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.030512

Abstract As a distributed machine learning method, federated learning (FL) has the advantage of naturally protecting data privacy. It keeps data locally and trains local models through local data to protect the privacy of local data. The federated learning method effectively solves the problem of artificial Smart data islands and privacy protection issues. However, existing research shows that attackers may still steal user information by analyzing the parameters in the federated learning training process and the aggregation parameters on the server side. To solve this problem, differential privacy (DP) techniques are widely used for privacy protection in federated learning. However, adding… More > Graphic Abstract
