Abstract There are little data on the efficacy and safety of taxane/platinum with definitive radiotherapy (RT) for esophageal/GEJ cancer. This article is a retrospective analysis of patients who received weekly paclitaxel 50 mg/ m2 and carboplatin AUC 2 with radical definitive RT for locally advanced esophageal/GEJ cancer. Between February 2011 and July 2014, 179 patients were included. The median age was 54 years. Ninety-two percent of patients had squamous histology. Abstract We report a case of metastatic collecting duct carcinoma (CDC) incidentally found on computer assisted tomography in an 18-year-old male who presented status post a motor vehicle crash (MVC). The patient underwent total nephrectomy/renal vein thrombectomy with retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, followed by multimodal therapy, with gemcitabine and platinum salt therapy, effecting a short lived complete response, followed by single agent paclitaxel chemotherapy effecting a similarly short lived partial response. Abstract Objective: The primary objective was to evaluate the effect of etoposide dose in a 3-day cisplatin/etoposide/bleomycin (PEB) regimen on progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS).
