    Xueqin Tian1, Jinfei Sun2, Tong Xu1, Mengran Cui2, Xinlei Wang1, Jianxiang Guo2, De-gejirifu1,*, Na Wang1

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.2, pp. 723-737, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.015982 - 24 January 2022

Abstract Although the Combined Cooing, Heating and Power System (hereinafter referred to as “CCHP”) improves the capacity utilization rate and energy utilization efficiency, single use of CCHP system cannot realize dynamic matching between supply and demand loads due to the unbalance features of the user’s cooling and heating loads. On the basis of user convenience and wide applicability of clean air energy, this paper tries to put forward a coupled CCHP system with combustion gas turbine and ASHP ordered power by heat, analyze trends of such parameters as gas consumption and power consumption of heat pump… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.1, pp. 567-584, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.023252 - 05 January 2022

Abstract In this research, the aerodynamic performance and flow characteristics of NASA SC (2)-0714 airfoil and HH02 airfoil in the helicopter main rotor are evidently analyzed. The supercritical airfoil is used in the aircraft for attaining better transonic and high-speed flow characteristics. Moreover, a specialized helicopter airfoil called HH02 is used in the Apache helicopter rotor for increasing the operational speed. As most of the high-speed helicopters are using four-bladed main rotor configuration, it is analyzed with prior attention. The lift and thrust act in different directions for the forward phase of the flight whereas the… More >

Live Migration of Virtual Machines Using a Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System

    Tahir Alyas1, Iqra Javed1, Abdallah Namoun2, Ali Tufail2, Sami Alshmrany2, Nadia Tabassum3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.2, pp. 3019-3033, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.019836 - 07 December 2021

Abstract Efforts were exerted to enhance the live virtual machines (VMs) migration, including performance improvements of the live migration of services to the cloud. The VMs empower the cloud users to store relevant data and resources. However, the utilization of servers has increased significantly because of the virtualization of computer systems, leading to a rise in power consumption and storage requirements by data centers, and thereby the running costs. Data center migration technologies are used to reduce risk, minimize downtime, and streamline and accelerate the data center move process. Indeed, several parameters, such as non-network overheads… More >

Performance Analysis of Two-Stage Optimal Feature-Selection Techniques for Finger Knuckle Recognition

    P. Jayapriya*, K. Umamaheswari

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.2, pp. 1293-1308, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.022583 - 17 November 2021

Abstract Automated biometric authentication attracts the attention of researchers to work on hand-based images to develop applications in forensics science. Finger Knuckle Print (FKP) is one of the hand-based biometrics used in the recognition of an individual. FKP is rich in texture, less in contact and known for its unique features. The dimensionality of the features, extracted from the image, is one of the main problems in pattern recognition. Since selecting the relevant features is an important but challenging task, the feature subset selection is an optimization problem. A reduced number of features results in enhanced… More >

Performance Analysis of Low Power Interference Cancellation Architecture for OFDM System

    N. Manikanda Devarajan1,*, S. Thenmozhi2, K. Jayaram3, R. Saravanakumar4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.2, pp. 1167-1178, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.021558 - 17 November 2021

Abstract Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a wireless communication technology that is used for highly reliable and high data rate communication. In a multi-user OFDM system, the interference has occurred in the receiver side between the consecutive OFDM symbols. This interference reduces the performance of the OFDM system. To achieve good quality in received symbols the interference level should be minimized. The conventional cancellation system requires higher interference reduction time and power. These limitations of the conventional interference cancellation architectures for OFDM systems are overcome by proposing efficient and low power interference cancellation architecture. Hence,… More >

Abstract Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) can be termed as an auto-configured and infrastructure-less wireless networks to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure and motion etc. WSNs may comprise thousands of Internet of Things (IoT) devices to sense and collect data from its surrounding, process the data and take an automated and mechanized decision. On the other side the proliferation of these devices will soon cause radio spectrum shortage. So, to facilitate these networks, we integrate Cognitive Radio (CR) functionality in these networks. CR can sense the unutilized spectrum of licensed users… More >

Abstract With the rapid growth in the number of mobile devices and user connectivity, the demand for higher system capacity and improved quality-of-service is required. As the demand for high-speed wireless communication grows, numerous modulation techniques in the frequency, temporal, and spatial domains, such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), time division multiple access (TDMA), space division multiple access (SDMA), and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), are being developed. Along with those approaches, electromagnetic waves’ orbital angular momentum (OAM) is attracting attention because it has the potential to boost the wireless communication capacity. Antenna electromagnetic radiation can be… More >
