A Novel Semi-Supervised Multi-Label Twin Support Vector Machine

    Qing Ai1,2,*, Yude Kang1, Anna Wang2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.27, No.1, pp. 205-220, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.013357 - 07 January 2021

Abstract Multi-label learning is a meaningful supervised learning task in which each sample may belong to multiple labels simultaneously. Due to this characteristic, multi-label learning is more complicated and more difficult than multi-class classification learning. The multi-label twin support vector machine (MLTSVM) [], which is an effective multi-label learning algorithm based on the twin support vector machine (TSVM), has been widely studied because of its good classification performance. To obtain good generalization performance, the MLTSVM often needs a large number of labelled samples. In practical engineering problems, it is very time consuming and difficult to obtain… More >

    Syed Mustajar Ahmad Shah1, Hongwei Ge1,*, Sami Ahmed Haider2, Muhammad Irshad3, Sohail M. Noman4, Jehangir Arshad5, Asfandeyar Ahmad6, Talha Younas7

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.36, No.2, pp. 369-382, 2021, DOI:10.32604/csse.2021.014234 - 05 January 2021

Abstract The data generated from non-Euclidean domains and its graphical representation (with complex-relationship object interdependence) applications has observed an exponential growth. The sophistication of graph data has posed consequential obstacles to the existing machine learning algorithms. In this study, we have considered a revamped version of a semi-supervised learning algorithm for graph-structured data to address the issue of expanding deep learning approaches to represent the graph data. Additionally, the quantum information theory has been applied through Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) to generate Riemannian metrics in closed-form of several graph layers. In further, to pre-process the adjacency… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.2, pp. 1237-1250, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.012707 - 26 November 2020

Abstract The widespread use of smartwatches has increased their specific and complementary activities in the health sector for patient’s prognosis. In this study, we propose a framework referred to as smart forecasting CardioWatch (SCW) to measure the heart-rate variation (HRV) for patients with myocardial infarction (MI) who live alone or are outside their homes. In this study, HRV is used as a vital alarming sign for patients with MI. The performance of the proposed framework is measured using machine learning and deep learning techniques, namely, support vector machine, logistic regression, and decision-tree classification techniques. The results More >

What is Discussed about COVID-19: A Multi-Modal Framework for Analyzing Microblogs from Sina Weibo without Human Labeling

    Hengyang Lu1, *, Yutong Lou2, Bin Jin2, Ming Xu2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.3, pp. 1453-1471, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011270 - 30 June 2020

Abstract Starting from late 2019, the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has become a global crisis. With the development of online social media, people prefer to express their opinions and discuss the latest news online. We have witnessed the positive influence of online social media, which helped citizens and governments track the development of this pandemic in time. It is necessary to apply artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to online social media and automatically discover and track public opinions posted online. In this paper, we take Sina Weibo, the most widely used online social media in China, for… More >

Analysis of Semi-Supervised Text Clustering Algorithm on Marine Data

    Yu Jiang1, 2, Dengwen Yu1, Mingzhao Zhao1, 2, Hongtao Bai1, 2, Chong Wang1, 2, 3, Lili He1, 2, *

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.1, pp. 207-216, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.09861 - 20 May 2020

Abstract Semi-supervised clustering improves learning performance as long as it uses a small number of labeled samples to assist un-tagged samples for learning. This paper implements and compares unsupervised and semi-supervised clustering analysis of BOAArgo ocean text data. Unsupervised K-Means and Affinity Propagation (AP) are two classical clustering algorithms. The Election-AP algorithm is proposed to handle the final cluster number in AP clustering as it has proved to be difficult to control in a suitable range. Semi-supervised samples thermocline data in the BOA-Argo dataset according to the thermocline standard definition, and use this data for semi-supervised… More >

Unsupervised Anomaly Detection via DBSCAN for KPIs Jitters in Network Managements

    Haiwen Chen1, Guang Yu1, Fang Liu2, Zhiping Cai1, *, Anfeng Liu3, Shuhui Chen1, Hongbin Huang1, Chak Fong Cheang4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.62, No.2, pp. 917-927, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.05981

Abstract For many Internet companies, a huge amount of KPIs (e.g., server CPU usage, network usage, business monitoring data) will be generated every day. How to closely monitor various KPIs, and then quickly and accurately detect anomalies in such huge data for troubleshooting and recovering business is a great challenge, especially for unlabeled data. The generated KPIs can be detected by supervised learning with labeled data, but the current problem is that most KPIs are unlabeled. That is a time-consuming and laborious work to label anomaly for company engineers. Build an unsupervised model to detect unlabeled More >

A Novel Cardholder Behavior Model for Detecting Credit Card Fraud

    Yiğit Kültür, Mehmet Ufuk Çağlayan

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.4, pp. 807-817, 2018, DOI:10.1080/10798587.2017.1342415

Abstract Because credit card fraud costs the banking sector billions of dollars every year, decreasing the losses incurred from credit card fraud is an important driver for the sector and end-users. In this paper, we focus on analyzing cardholder spending behavior and propose a novel cardholder behavior model for detecting credit card fraud. The model is called the Cardholder Behavior Model (CBM). Two focus points are proposed and evaluated for CBMs. The first focus point is building the behavior model using single-card transactions versus multi-card transactions. As the second focus point, we introduce holiday seasons as More >

    Kaijun Xu1, Xueting Chen2, Yusheng Yao1, Shanshan Li1

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.3, pp. 603-611, 2018, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000027

Abstract The lateral conflict risk assessment of low-altitude training airspace strategic planning, which is based on the TSE errors has always been a difficult task for training flight research. In order to effectively evaluate the safety interval and lateral collision risk in training airspace, in this paper, TSE error performance using a weakly supervised learning method was modelled. First, the lateral probability density function of TSE is given by using a multidimensional random variable covariance matrix, and the risk model of a training flight lateral collision based on TSE error is established. The lateral conflict risk More >
