Design, Implementation and Verification of Topology Network Architecture of Smart Home Tree

    Youbang Guan1,2, Bong Jun Choi3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.2, pp. 2399-2411, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.012365 - 13 April 2021

Abstract Smart home technology provides consumers with network connectivity, automation or enhanced services for home devices. With the Internet of Things era, a vast data flow makes business platforms have to own the same computing power to match their business services. It achieves computing power through implementing big data algorithms deployed in the cloud data center. However, because of the far long geographical distance between the client and the data center or the massive data capacity gap, potentially high latency and high packet loss will reduce the usability of smart home systems if service providers deploy… More >

Abstract The cup nerve head, optic cup, optic disc ratio and neural rim configuration are observed as important for detecting glaucoma at an early stage in clinical practice. The main clinical indicator of glaucoma optic cup to disc ratio is currently determined manually by limiting the mass screening was potential. This paper proposes the following methods for an automatic cup to disc ratio determination. In the first part of the work, fundus image of the optic disc region is considered. Clustering means K is used automatically to extract the optic disc whereas K-value is automatically selected… More >

    Yangling Li1, Zhengrong Li1, Hui Yu1, Gang Huang1, Xiaopeng Pei2, Kun Xu2,*, Pixin Wang2, Ying Tan3,*

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.9, No.8, pp. 1365-1376, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2021.014909 - 08 April 2021

Abstract In this work, the –catechol and –thiol modified starch was prepared by the esterification and amino condensation reaction, then a fully starch based hydrogel was prepared via the thiol-catechol Michael addition reaction. The starch hydrogel gained shape memory behaviors by coordinate with Fe3+ ions at alkaline condition. 1 H-NMR had been used to character the structure of the starch derivatives and its character peaks. The hydrogel’s modulus had also been measured before and after coordinating with Fe3+ ions in linear area and the result showed that both the hydrogel’s storage modulus and loss modulus kept constant in More >

An Anomaly Detection Method of Industrial Data Based on Stacking Integration

    Kunkun Wang1,2, Xianda Liu2,3,4,*

    Journal on Artificial Intelligence, Vol.3, No.1, pp. 9-19, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jai.2021.016706 - 02 April 2021

Abstract With the development of Internet technology, the computing power of data has increased, and the development of machine learning has become faster and faster. In the industrial production of industrial control systems, quality inspection and safety production of process products have always been our concern. Aiming at the low accuracy of anomaly detection in process data in industrial control system, this paper proposes an anomaly detection method based on stacking integration using the machine learning algorithm. Data are collected from the industrial site and processed by feature engineering. Principal component analysis (PCA) and integrated rule… More >

A Pull-Out Test Study on the Working State of Fully Grouted Bolts

    Ruixin Zhao1,*, Zhongju Feng1, Guan Jiang1, Fuchun Wang1, Yidong Zhang2, Changan Zhang3, Zhenbing Wang1

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.17, No.2, pp. 441-453, 2021, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2021.010595 - 02 April 2021

Abstract The present study examines the working conditions of fully grouted bolts used for the construction and expansion of high slopes. On the basis of a pull out destructive test, the work load and the ultimate load are obtained on site, and the Flac3d numerical simulation method is employed to determine the axial force distribution and the effective anchor length. The test results show that (1) the Q-S (load-displacement) curve of the bolt displays a certain degree of deformation coupled with the creep of the surrounding rock; (2) the working load of the bolt is closely More >

Internet of Things: Protection of Medical Data through Decentralized Ledgers

    Abdalla Alameen*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.28, No.2, pp. 593-602, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.016950 - 01 April 2021

Abstract It is forecasted that billions of Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor devices will be installed worldwide by 2020. These devices can provide infrastructure-based services for various applications such as in smart hospitals, smart industry, smart grids, and smart industrial towns. Among them, the hospital service system needs to authenticate devices, and medical data are recorded for diagnostic purposes. In general, digital signatures are employed, but the computational power and their huge numbers pose many challenges to the digital signature system. To solve such problems, we developed a ledger system for authenticating IoT medical devices.… More >

Tomato Leaf Disease Identification and Detection Based on Deep Convolutional Neural Network

    Yang Wu1, Lihong Xu1,*, Erik D. Goodman2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.28, No.2, pp. 561-576, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.016415 - 01 April 2021

Abstract Deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) requires a lot of data for training, but there has always been data vacuum in agriculture, making it difficult to label all existing data accurately. Therefore, a lightweight tomato leaf disease identification network supported by Variational auto-Encoder (VAE) is proposed to improve the accuracy of crop leaf disease identification. In the lightweight network, multi-scale convolution can expand the network width, enrich the extracted features, and reduce model parameters such as deep separable convolution. VAE makes full use of a large amount of unlabeled data to achieve unsupervised learning, and then… More >

    Abstract

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a style of software design where Web Services (WS) provide services to the other components through a communication protocol over a network. WS components are managed, updated, and rearranged at runtime to provide the business processes as SCs, which consist of a set of WSs that can be invoked in a specific order to fulfill the clients’ requests. According to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, WS selection and composition are significant perspectives of research to meet the clients’ expectations. This paper presents an effective technique using SMFS that attempts to
