    Xiangyan Tang1, Qidong Zheng1,*, Jieren Cheng1,2, Victor S. Sheng3, Rui Cao1, Meizhu Chen1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.60, No.3, pp. 1263-1281, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.06173

Abstract The existing network security situation assessment methods cannot effectively assess the Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack situation. In order to solve these problems, we propose a DDoS attack situation assessment method via optimized cloud model based on influence function. Firstly, according to the state change characteristics of the IP addresses which are accessed by new and old user respectively, this paper defines a fusion feature value. Then, based on this value, we establish a V-Support Vector Machines (V-SVM) classification model to analyze network flow for identifying DDoS attacks. Secondly, according to the change of new and… More >

YATA: Yet Another Proposal for Traffic Analysis and Anomaly Detection

    Yu Wang1,2,*, Yan Cao2, Liancheng Zhang2, Hongtao Zhang3, Roxana Ohriniuc4, Guodong Wang5, Ruosi Cheng6

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.60, No.3, pp. 1171-1187, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05575

Abstract Network traffic anomaly detection has gained considerable attention over the years in many areas of great importance. Traditional methods used for detecting anomalies produce quantitative results derived from multi-source information. This makes it difficult for administrators to comprehend and deal with the underlying situations. This study proposes another method to yet determine traffic anomaly (YATA), based on the cloud model. YATA adopts forward and backward cloud transformation algorithms to fuse the quantitative value of acquisitions into the qualitative concept of anomaly degree. This method achieves rapid and direct perspective of network traffic. Experimental results with More >

    Lili He1,2, Hongtao Bai1,2, Dantong Ouyang1,2, Changshuai Wang1,2, Chong Wang1,2,3, Yu Jiang1,2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.60, No.2, pp. 599-613, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05928

Abstract Cloud-derived wind refers to the wind field data product reversely derived through satellite remote sensing cloud images. Satellite cloud-derived wind inversion has the characteristics of large scale, computationally intensive and long time. The most widely used cloud-derived serial--tracer cloud tracking method is the maximum cross-correlation coefficient (MCC) method. In order to overcome the efficiency bottleneck of the cloud-derived serial MCC algorithm, we proposed a parallel cloud-derived wind inversion algorithm based on GPU framework in this paper, according to the characteristics of independence between each wind vector calculation. In this algorithm, each iteration is considered as… More >

A Weighted Threshold Secret Sharing Scheme for Remote Sensing Images Based on Chinese Remainder Theorem

    Qi He1, Shui Yu2, Huifang Xu3,*, Jia Liu4, Dongmei Huang5, Guohua Liu6, Fangqin Xu3, Yanling Du1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.2, pp. 349-361, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.03703

Abstract The recent advances in remote sensing and computer techniques give birth to the explosive growth of remote sensing images. The emergence of cloud storage has brought new opportunities for storage and management of massive remote sensing images with its large storage space, cost savings. However, the openness of cloud brings challenges for image data security. In this paper, we propose a weighted image sharing scheme to ensure the security of remote sensing in cloud environment, which takes the weights of participants (i.e., cloud service providers) into consideration. An extended Mignotte sequence is constructed according to… More >

WiBPA: An Efficient Data Integrity Auditing Scheme Without Bilinear Pairings

    Chunhua Li1,*, Peng Wang1, Changhong Sun1, Ke Zhou1, Ping Huang2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.2, pp. 319-333, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.03856

Abstract The security of cloud data has always been a concern. Cloud server provider may maliciously tamper or delete user’s data for their own benefit, so data integrity audit is of great significance to verify whether data is modified or not. Based on the general three-party audit architecture, a dynamic auditing scheme without bilinear pairings is proposed in this paper. It utilizes exponential operation instead of bilinear mapping to verify the validity of evidence. By establishing the mapping relation between logic index and tag index of data block with index transformation table, our scheme can easily More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.1, pp. 135-151, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.02967

Abstract Cloud storage represents the trend of intensive, scale and specialization of information technology, which has changed the technical architecture and implementation method of electronic records management. Moreover, it will provide a convenient way to generate more advanced and efficient management of the electronic data records. However, in cloud storage environment, it is difficult to guarantee the trustworthiness of electronic records, which results in a series of severe challenges to electronic records management. Starting from the definition and specification of electronic records, this paper firstly analyzes the requirements of the trustworthiness in cloud storage during their More >

A Privacy-Preserving Image Retrieval Based on AC-Coefficients and Color Histograms in Cloud Environment

    Zhihua Xia1,*, Lihua Lu1, Tong Qiu1, H. J. Shim1, Xianyi Chen1, Byeungwoo Jeon2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.1, pp. 27-43, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.02688

Abstract Content based image retrieval (CBIR) techniques have been widely deployed in many applications for seeking the abundant information existed in images. Due to large amounts of storage and computational requirements of CBIR, outsourcing image search work to the cloud provider becomes a very attractive option for many owners with small devices. However, owing to the private content contained in images, directly outsourcing retrieval work to the cloud provider apparently bring about privacy problem, so the images should be protected carefully before outsourcing. This paper presents a secure retrieval scheme for the encrypted images in the… More >

Abstract With limited homogeneous and heterogeneous resources in a cloud computing system, it is not feasible to successively expand network infrastructure to adequately support the rapid growth in the cloud service. In this paper, an approach for optimal transmission of hierarchical network for heterogeneous service in Cloud Scenarios was presented. Initially, the theoretical optimal transmission model of a common network was transformed into the hierarchical network with the upper and lower optimization transmission model. Furthermore, the computation simplification and engineering transformation were presented for an approximation method at the low cost of computational complexity. In the More >

Abstract Network security situation awareness is an important foundation for network security management, which presents the target system security status by analyzing existing or potential cyber threats in the target system. In network offense and defense, the network security state of the target system will be affected by both offensive and defensive strategies. According to this feature, this paper proposes a network security situation awareness method using stochastic game in cloud computing environment, uses the utility of both sides of the game to quantify the network security situation value. This method analyzes the nodes based on… More >
