    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.63, No.2, pp. 675-689, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.07730 - 01 May 2020

Abstract Hashing technology has the advantages of reducing data storage and improving the efficiency of the learning system, making it more and more widely used in image retrieval. Multi-view data describes image information more comprehensively than traditional methods using a single-view. How to use hashing to combine multi-view data for image retrieval is still a challenge. In this paper, a multi-view fusion hashing method based on RKCCA (Random Kernel Canonical Correlation Analysis) is proposed. In order to describe image content more accurately, we use deep learning dense convolutional network feature DenseNet to construct multi-view by combining More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.123, No.1, pp. 237-256, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.09141 - 01 April 2020

Abstract The application of vortex generators in tube-finned heat exchangers is very universal. The vortex generators can generate secondary flow, and as we all know secondary flow can obviously strengthen heat transfer. To use vortex generators much more efficiently in the circle tube-finned heat exchangers, the intensity correlation study between secondary flow and heat transfer is needed. 22 different structures of circle tubefinned heat exchangers were numerically studied, including the plain fin cases and the cases with vortex generators. In addition, the influence of fin spacing, transverse and longitudinal tube pitch, heights and attack angle of More >

    European Cytokine Network, Vol.30, No.1, pp. 15-22, 2019, DOI:10.1684/ecn.2019.0421

Abstract There are a limited number of studies that report the polarization of the immune system toward the production of T helper 1 (Th1), Th2, or Th17-type cytokines in patients with Behçet’s disease (BD). Here, we aimed to detect the presence of various cytokines in serum samples of Egyptian BD patients and to determine the correlation between their production levels and clinical manifestations. To that aim, serum levels of IFN-γ, IL-10, IL-6, and IL-17 measured by ELISA were determined in BD patients with active or inactive disease to evaluate their clinical relevance. The results of the… More >

Yani Hou, Wenzhong Zhu, Erli Wang

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.4, pp. 805-814, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2019.100000084

Abstract Hyperspectral remote sensing, with its narrow band imaging, provides the potential for fine identification of ground objects, and has unique advantages in mineral detection. However, the image is nonlinear and the pure pixel is scarce, so using standard spectrum detection will lead to an increase of the number of false alarm and missed detection. The density peak algorithm performs well in high-dimensional space and data clustering with irregular category shape. This paper used the density peak clustering to determine the cluster centers of various categories of images, and took it as the target spectrum, and More >

    Congenital Heart Disease, Vol.14, No.4, pp. 600-608, 2019, DOI:10.1111/chd.12770

Abstract Introduction: Liver fibrosis and cirrhosis are late complications in Fontan palliation. Liver biopsy is the gold standard. The goal of this study is to correlate transjugular liver biopsy (TJLB) in the setting of Fontan palliation with noninvasive testing and hemodynamics.
Methods: Between August 2014 and July 2017, 49 Fontan patients underwent TJLB. All the patients had hemodynamic evaluation, 28 patients had MRE (magnetic reso‐ nance elastography) and 40 patients had cardiopulmonary exercise test. Histologic liver fibrosis was quantitated using traditional histologic scoring systems and a modi‐ fied Ishak congestive hepatic fibrosis score.
Results: Median age 17.8 years, median… More >

Echocardiographic assessment of single‐ventricle diastolic function and its correlation to short‐term outcomes after the Fontan operation

    Erin K. Davis1, Salil Ginde1, Jessica Stelter2, Peter Frommelt1, Garick D. Hill3

    Congenital Heart Disease, Vol.14, No.5, pp. 720-725, 2019, DOI:10.1111/chd.12814

Abstract Background/Hypothesis/Objectives: Postoperative complications after the Fontan operation for single ventricle heart disease are common and include persistent pleural drainage and prolonged length of hospital stay (LOS). Diastolic ventricular dysfunction may increase risk for postoperative complications by raising central venous pressures. We sought to determine the relationship between preoperative echocardiographic measurements of diastolic function, including myocardial deformation imaging, on (a) preoperative invasive catheterization measurements and (b) postoperative outcomes after the Fontan procedure.
Design/Methods: All patients that underwent Fontan procedure from 2011 to 2017 were included. Echocardiograms performed within 6 months prior to Fontan operation were evaluated. Measurements of… More >

Abstract Digital image correlation (DIC) measurement technique and peridynamics (PD) method have been applied in specific fields extensively owing to their respective advantages in obtaining full-field deformation and local failure of loaded materials and structures. This study provides a simple way to couple DIC measurements with PD simulations, which can circumvent the difficulties of DIC in dealing with discontinuous deformations. Taking the failure analysis of a compact tension specimen of aluminum alloy and a static three-point bending concrete beam as examples, the DIC experimental system firstly measures the full-field displacements, and then the PD simulation is More >

    Chen Zhang1, Jieren Cheng1,2,3,*, Xiangyan Tang1, Victor S. Sheng4, Zhe Dong1, Junqi Li1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.61, No.2, pp. 657-675, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.06207

Abstract Distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks launch more and more frequently and are more destructive. Feature representation as an important part of DDoS defense technology directly affects the efficiency of defense. Most DDoS feature extraction methods cannot fully utilize the information of the original data, resulting in the extracted features losing useful features. In this paper, a DDoS feature representation method based on deep belief network (DBN) is proposed. We quantify the original data by the size of the network flows, the distribution of IP addresses and ports, and the diversity of packet sizes of More >

Jintao He, Dong Lei*, Xuwei Cui, Pengxiang Bai, Feipeng Zhu

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.21, No.4, pp. 78-78, 2019, DOI:10.32604/icces.2019.05228

Abstract With the combination of scanning electron microscope (SEM) and digital image correlation (DIC), the mechanical properties of interfacial transition zone (ITZ) in concrete are experimentally studied. The experimental compression tests are performed on cuboid samples whose half part is aggregate and the other part is mortar. The morphology of the ITZ is captured by SEM under compressive load, and from the recorded images the deformation of the ITZ is analyzed. After that, the distribution of the nominal compressive elastic modulus of the ITZ is obtained along the distance from the aggregate to the mortar, which… More >
