    Abstract Objective: To provide data on the value of fused cardiac hybrid imaging with coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) and positron emission tomography myocardial perfusion imaging (PET-MPI) in patients with complex coronary artery anomalies (CCAA).
    Design/setting: This is a retrospective, single-center study.
    Patients: Seven consecutive patients with CCAA (mean 57 ± 7 y, 86% were male) who underwent clinically indicated hybrid CCTA/PET-MPI between 2005 and 2015 in our clinic were included. The findings from both modalities and fused cardiac hybrid imaging were evaluated in these patients.

    Abstract This work studies the use of soy protein as a natural formaldehyde scavenger in wood particleboard production. The protein is incorporated in two forms: a) as a powder, during the blending process of wood particles with urea-formaldehyde binder resin, and b) as an aqueous solution, added at different times during resin synthesis.     Abstract Diesel engine combustion modeling presents a challenging task with the formation and breakup of spray into droplets.     Abstract We present a case report of a 17-year-old patient with a large renal mass that was detected on a computed tomography scan during investigation for secondary hypertension. Radical nephrectomy was performed, and the morphologic and immunocytochemical findings were compatible with a diagnosis of monophasic synovial sarcoma of the kidney. A cytogenetic search for t(X;18) translocation was performed, which was negative. The patient underwent an ifosfamide-based chemotherapy regimen.     Abstract In this work, fuel spray parameters are studied by varying the fuel temperature. To overcome the tedious experimental task, a 3-D Computational Fluid Dynamics methodology is adopted by injecting fuel at specified temperatures of 313 K, 353 K and 393 K.     Abstract Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is characterized by bone marrow accumulation of immature leukemic blast cells. Conventional AML treatment includes induction chemotherapy to achieve disease control, followed by consolidation therapy with conventional chemotherapy or allogeneic/autologous stem cell transplantation (allo/autoSCT) to eradicate residual disease. Even younger patients receiving the most intensive treatment have a median, long-term, AML-free survival of only 45-50%, highlighting the need for new treatment strategies.
