    V. Roopa1,*, K. Malarvizhi2, S. Karthik3

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.2, pp. 657-669, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.022173 - 20 April 2022

Abstract In cloud environment, an efficient resource management establishes the allocation of computational resources of cloud service providers to the requests of users for meeting the user’s demands. The proficient resource management and work allocation determines the accomplishment of the cloud infrastructure. However, it is very difficult to persuade the objectives of the Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and end users in an impulsive cloud domain with random changes of workloads, huge resource availability and complicated service policies to handle them, With that note, this paper attempts to present an Efficient Energy-Aware Resource Management Model (EEARMM) that… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.2, pp. 751-765, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.021932 - 20 April 2022

Abstract In this article, we optimize harvesting and sensing duration for Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN) using Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS). The secondary source harvests energy using the received signal from node A. Then, it performs spectrum sensing to detect Primary Source PS activity. When PS activity is not detected, The Secondary Source SS transmits data to Secondary Destination SD where all reflected signals on IRS are in phase at SD. We show that IRS offers 14, 20, 26, 32, 38, 44, 50 dB enhancement in throughput using M = 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 reflectors with respect to CRN without… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.2, pp. 531-544, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.021694 - 20 April 2022

Abstract The research work presents, constrained network coding technique to ensure the successful data transmission based composite channel cmos technology using dielectric properties. The charge fragmentation and charge splitting are two components of the filtered switch domino (FSD) technique. Further behavior of selected switching is achieved using generator called conditional pulse generator which is employed in Multi Dynamic Node Domino (MDND) technique. Both FSD and MDND technique need wide area compared to existing single node-keeper domino technique. The aim of this research is to minimize dissipation of power and to achieve less consumption of power. The… More >

    G. Divya Mohana Priya1,*, M. Karthikeyan1, K. Murugan2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.2, pp. 471-486, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.021023 - 20 April 2022

Abstract Optimizing the sensor energy is one of the most important concern in Three-Dimensional (3D) Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). An improved dynamic hierarchical clustering has been used in previous works that computes optimum clusters count and thus, the total consumption of energy is optimal. However, the computational complexity will be increased due to data dimension, and this leads to increase in delay in network data transmission and reception. For solving the above-mentioned issues, an efficient dimensionality reduction model based on Incremental Linear Discriminant Analysis (ILDA) is proposed for 3D hierarchical clustering WSNs. The major objective of… More >

    Arfan Shahzad1,2, Muhammad Imran1,*, Muhammad Nawaz Naeem1, Mohsan Raza1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.131, No.3, pp. 1669-1692, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.017914 - 19 April 2022

Abstract In current study, the numerical computations of Reiner–Rivlin nanofluid flow through a rotational disk under the influence of thermal radiation and Arrhenius activation energy is considered. For innovative physical situations, the motile microorganisms are incorporated too. The multiple slip effects are considered in the boundary conditions. The bioconvection of motile microorganism is utilized alongside nanofluids to provide stability to enhanced thermal transportation. The Bioconvection pattern in various nanoparticles accredits novel applications of biotechnology like the synthesis of biological polymers, biosensors, fuel cells, petroleum engineering, and the natural environment. By deploying some suitable similarity transformation functions,… More >

Energy Efficient Clustering and Optimized LOADng Protocol for IoT

    Divya Sharma1,*, Sanjay Jain2, Vivek Maik3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.34, No.1, pp. 357-370, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.025637 - 15 April 2022

Abstract In recent years, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has increased exponentially due to the advancement of information and communication technologies. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are vital in the development of IoT and include low-cost smart devices for data collection. However, such smart devices hold some restrictions in terms of calculation, processing, storage, and energy resources. With such constraints, one of the primary difficulties for the WSN is to achieve the lowest possible energy consumption across the network. This article aims to develop an Energy-Efficient cluster-based Lightweight On-Demand Ad hoc Distance Vector Routing… More >

Study on a Gas Plunger Lift Model for Shale Gas Wells and Its Effective Application

    Peng Liu1, Man Chen1, Zhiguo He1, Wei Luo2,3,*, Shiyu Miao2,3

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.18, No.4, pp. 933-955, 2022, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.019736 - 06 April 2022

Abstract The problem of efficient gas lift for gas well annulus packers that rely on their own energy plungers is considered. The complex related gas-liquid problem is addressed in the frame of model where the gas inflow dynamics and liquid inflow dynamics of the considered shale gas wells are weakly coupled. On this basis, and with the aiding support of indoor simulation experimental data, a new gas plunger lift design taking into account liquid leakage is obtained. Finally, a dedicated software relying on this approach is developed and used to verify the reliability of the model More >

A Novel Method for the Application of the ECMS (Equivalent Consumption Minimization Strategy) to Reduce Hydrogen Consumption in Fuel Cell Hybrid Electric Vehicles

Wen Sun, Hao Liu, Ming Han, Ke Sun, Shuzhan Bai*, Guoxiang Li*

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.18, No.4, pp. 867-882, 2022, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.018923 - 06 April 2022

Abstract Fuel cell hybrid electric vehicles are currently being considered as ideal means to solve the energy crisis and global warming in today’s society. In this context, this paper proposes a method to solve the problem related to the dependence of the so-called optimal equivalent factor (determined in the framework of the equivalent consumption minimum strategy-ECMS) on the working conditions. The simulation results show that under typical conditions (some representative cities being considered), the proposed strategy can maintain the power balance; for different initial battery’s states of charge (SOC), after the SOC stabilizes, the fuel consumption More >

Abstract The bionic structure drip irrigation emitter (BSDE) is a new-type emitter, by which better hydraulic performances can be obtained. In the present work, twenty-five sets of orthogonal test schemes were implemented to analyze the influence of the geometric parameters of the flow channel on the hydraulic characteristics and energy dissipation efficiency of this emitter. Through numerical simulations and verification tests, the flow index and energy dissipation coefficient were obtained. According to the results, the flow index of the BSDE is 0.4757–0.5067. The energy dissipation coefficient under the pressure head of 5–15 m is 584–1701. The More >
