    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.90, No.3, pp. 773-787, 2021, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2021.015229 - 30 March 2021

Abstract In recent years, some super hybrid rice varieties were bred with strong culms and large panicles, which are mainly contributed by the ipa1-2D locus. A gain-of-function allele of OsSPL14 is the ipa1-2D and it can greatly increase the panicle primary branch number. However, the key downstream genes mediating this trait variation are not fully explored. In this study, we developed high-quality near-isogenic lines (NILs) with a difference of only 30 kb chromosomal segment covering the ipa1-2D locus. Using the NILs, we explored the impact of ipa1-2D on five sequential stages of early inflorescence development, and found that the… More >

DRUG RELEASE IN TRANSDERMAL DEVICES: A BRIEF PARAMETRIC STUDY

    F.C.C. Almeidaa , P.M. da Silvab,c, M.N.C. Coelho Pinheiroa,d,*

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.12, pp. 1-9, 2019, DOI:10.5098/hmt.12.16

Abstract In the last decades, polymeric systems were essayed and applied successfully as vehicles for transdermal delivery devices of active principles. Applications in contraception, pain control, and smoking cessation are already frequent. A crucial aspect in the development of new formulations is the maintenance of the therapeutic drug concentration range for long periods. Recognizing this topic as interesting and challenging, simple models to describe drug release from a transdermal device were developed with the purpose to perform a parametric sensitivity analysis. Assuming drug diffusion within the polymeric delivery system as the dominant mechanism the models were More >

Anne Ruas, Ha Pham, Laura Pinson

    Revue Internationale de Géomatique, Vol.29, No.2, pp. 185-205, 2019, DOI:10.3166/rig.2019.00081

More >

    J. Boudier, G. Oldrini, C. Barlier, A. Lesur

    Oncologie, Vol.21, No.1, pp. 11-16, 2019, DOI:10.3166/onco-2019-0034

    S. Dejust

    Oncologie, Vol.21, No.1, pp. 5-10, 2019, DOI:10.3166/onco-2019-0031

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.118, No.2, pp. 253-274, 2019, DOI:10.31614/cmes.2019.05807

Abstract In any classical value-based reinforcement learning method, an agent, despite of its continuous interactions with the environment, is yet unable to quickly generate a complete and independent description of the entire environment, leaving the learning method to struggle with a difficult dilemma of choosing between the two tasks, namely exploration and exploitation. This problem becomes more pronounced when the agent has to deal with a dynamic environment, of which the configuration and/or parameters are constantly changing. In this paper, this problem is approached by first mapping a reinforcement learning scheme to a directed graph, and… More >
