Abstract In this study, structural theory was used to examine the geometric configuration of channels embedded inside an object in the presence of internal heat generation for cooling by a heat transfer mechanism. The growth and development of gas transmission lines and the lack of up-to-date integrated information systems have made the design and maintenance of pipelines, as well as the handling of problems caused by various accidents in the pipeline, very complex in many cases. Using accurate descriptive and spatial information in tolls on gas transmission line maps such as pipes, booster stations, valves, and… More >

    Abstract

A depth understanding of fluid flow past a curved duct having rectangular cross-section with different aspect ratios (l) are essential for various engineering applications such as in chemical, mechanical, bio-mechanical and bio-medical engineering. So highly ambitious researchers have given significant attention to study new characteristics of fluid flow in a curved duct. The flow characterization in the rectangular duct has been studied over a wide range of numerical and selective experimental studies. However, proper knowledge with the effects of Coriolis force for different aspect ratios is important for better understanding of the transitional behaviour and

Abstract For heat transfer enhancement in heat exchangers, different types of channels are often tested. The performance of heat exchangers can be made better by considering geometry composed of sinusoidally curved walls. This research studies the modeling and simulation of airflow through a units long sinusoidally curved wavy channel. For the purpose, two-dimensional Navier Stokes equations along with heat equations are under consideration. To simulate the fluid flow problem, the finite element-based software COMSOL Multiphysics is used. The parametric study for Reynolds number from to and the period of vibration P from to are observed. CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.130, No.1, pp. 205-220, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.017304 - 29 November 2021

Abstract In this numerical study, the effect of quartic autocatalysis type of chemical reaction, buoyancy force and thermal radiation phenomenon and magnetic effect on tangent hyperbolic nanofluid past an upper horizontal surface of a paraboloid has been studied. By considering the Buongiorno model approach, a diffusion of unequal coefficients in the presence of gyrotactic microorganism is discussed. Implementation of microorganism's idea is used to stabilize the nanoparticles through bioconvection. The modeled PDEs of the problems are converted into nonlinear ODEs with the assistant of the similarity transformations. To tackle nonlinear ODEs, MATLAB package bvp4c is used. More >
