A Non-singleton Type-3 Fuzzy Modeling: Optimized by Square-Root Cubature Kalman Filter

    Aoqi Xu1, Khalid A. Alattas2, Nasreen Kausar3, Ardashir Mohammadzadeh4, Ebru Ozbilge5,*, Tonguc Cagin5

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.37, No.1, pp. 17-32, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.036623

Abstract In many problems, to analyze the process/metabolism behavior, a model of the system is identified. The main gap is the weakness of current methods vs. noisy environments. The primary objective of this study is to present a more robust method against uncertainties. This paper proposes a new deep learning scheme for modeling and identification applications. The suggested approach is based on non-singleton type-3 fuzzy logic systems (NT3-FLSs) that can support measurement errors and high-level uncertainties. Besides the rule optimization, the antecedent parameters and the level of secondary memberships are also adjusted by the suggested square root cubature Kalman filter (SCKF).… More >

Optimum Design for the Magnification Mechanisms Employing Fuzzy Logic–ANFIS

    Ngoc Thai Huynh1, Tien V. T. Nguyen2, Quoc Manh Nguyen3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.3, pp. 5961-5983, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.029484

Abstract To achieve high work performance for compliant mechanisms of motion scope, continuous work condition, and high frequency, we propose a new hybrid algorithm that could be applied to multi-objective optimum design. In this investigation, we use the tools of finite element analysis (FEA) for a magnification mechanism to find out the effects of design variables on the magnification ratio of the mechanism and then select an optimal mechanism that could meet design requirements. A poly-algorithm including the Grey-Taguchi method, fuzzy logic system, and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) algorithm, was utilized mainly in this study. The FEA outcomes indicated that… More >

Fuzzy Fruit Fly Optimized Node Quality-Based Clustering Algorithm for Network Load Balancing

    P. Rahul1,*, N. Kanthimathi1, B. Kaarthick2, M. Leeban Moses1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1583-1600, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.027424

Abstract Recently, the fundamental problem with Hybrid Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (H-MANETs) is to find a suitable and secure way of balancing the load through Internet gateways. Moreover, the selection of the gateway and overload of the network results in packet loss and Delay (DL). For optimal performance, it is important to load balance between different gateways. As a result, a stable load balancing procedure is implemented, which selects gateways based on Fuzzy Logic (FL) and increases the efficiency of the network. In this case, since gateways are selected based on the number of nodes, the Energy Consumption (EC) was high. This… More >

    T. S. Balaji1,2, S. Srinivasan3,*, S. Prasanna Bharathi4, B. Ramesh5

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.1, pp. 291-304, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.023269

Abstract Due to the advanced developments in communication technologies, Internet of vehicles and vehicular adhoc networks (VANET) offers numerous opportunities for effectively managing transportation problems. On the other, the cloud environment needs to disseminate the emergency message to the vehicles which are consistently distributed on the roadway so that every vehicle gets the messages from closer vehicles in a straightforward way. To resolve this issue, clustering and routing techniques can be designed using computational intelligence approaches. With this motivation, this paper presents a new type-2 fuzzy sets based clustering with metaheuristic optimization based routing (T2FSC-MOR) technique for secure communication in VANET.… More >

Improved Radio Resource Allocation in 5G Network Using Fuzzy Logic Systems

    S. Vimalnath1,*, G. Ravi2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.3, pp. 1687-1699, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.023083

Abstract With recent advancements in machine-to-machine (M2M), the demand for fastest communication is an utmost concern of the M2M technology. The advent of 5G telecommunication networks enables to bridge the demand on satisfying the Quality-of-Service (QoS) concerns in M2M communication. The massive number of devices in M2M communication is henceforth do not lie under limited resource allocation by embedding the 5G telecommunication network. In this paper, we address the above limitation of allocation the resource to prominent M2M devices using Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). In ANFIS, the adoption of rules will imply the resource allocation with the devices of… More >

Optimization of Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic System Using Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm

Saima Hassan1, Mojtaba Ahmadieh Khanesar2, Nazar Kalaf Hussein3, Samir Brahim Belhaouari4,*, Usman Amjad5, Wali Khan Mashwani6

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.2, pp. 3513-3531, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.022018

Abstract The estimation of the fuzzy membership function parameters for interval type 2 fuzzy logic system (IT2-FLS) is a challenging task in the presence of uncertainty and imprecision. Grasshopper optimization algorithm (GOA) is a fresh population based meta-heuristic algorithm that mimics the swarming behavior of grasshoppers in nature, which has good convergence ability towards optima. The main objective of this paper is to apply GOA to estimate the optimal parameters of the Gaussian membership function in an IT2-FLS. The antecedent part parameters (Gaussian membership function parameters) are encoded as a population of artificial swarm of grasshoppers and optimized using its algorithm.… More >

    S. Zulaikha Beevi, Abdullah Alabdulatif*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.2, pp. 4107-4122, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.020292

Abstract The wireless sensor network (WSN) is a growing sector in the network domain. By implementing it many industries developed smart task for different purposes. Sensor nodes interact with each other and this interaction technique are handled by different routing protocol. Extending the life of the network in WSN is a challenging issue because energy in sensor nodes are quickly drained. So the overall performance of WSN are degraded by this limitation. To resolve this unreliable low power link, many researches have provided various routing protocols to make the network as dependable and sustainable as possible. While speeding up the data… More >

Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) is expanding its roots in medical diagnostics. Various acute and chronic diseases can be identified accurately at the initial level by using AI methods to prevent the progression of health complications. Kidney diseases are producing a high impact on global health and medical practitioners are suggested that the diagnosis at earlier stages is one of the foremost approaches to avert chronic kidney disease and renal failure. High blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, and glomerulonephritis are the root causes of kidney disease. Therefore, the present study is proposed a set of multiple techniques such as simulation, modeling, and optimization… More >
