    Sangsoon Lim1, Sanghyun Seo2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.1, pp. 751-765, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.013430 - 30 October 2020

Abstract Cross-technology interference (CTI) from diverse wireless networks such as ZigBee, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi has become a severe problem in the 2.4 GHz Industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) band. Especially, low power and lossy networks are vulnerable to the signal interferences from other aggressive wireless networks when they perform low power operations to conserve the energy consumption. This paper presents CoSense, which accurately detects ZigBee signals with a reliable signal correlation scheme in the presence of the CTI. The key concept of CoSense is to reduce false wake-ups of low power listening (LPL) by identifying the… More >

    Senyun Liu1,2, Qinglin Liu1,2, Xian Yi1,2,*, Yizhou Shen4,*, Long Guo1,2, Wenqing Hou4, Haifeng Chen3, Zhen Wang4

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.8, No.12, pp. 1617-1631, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2020.014158 - 12 November 2020

Abstract The aim of this study is to explore the heterogeneous ice nucleation behavior based on controllable micro-cubic array structure surfaces from the statistic perspective. To this end, we firstly constructed a group of micro-cubic array structures on silicon substrates by a selective plasma etching technique. After grafting low-free-energy substance, the as-constructed micro-cubic array structure surfaces exhibited higher non-wettability with the water contact angle being up to 150°. On this basis, 500 cycles of freezing and melting processes were accurately recorded to analyze the instantaneous ice nucleation behavior according to the statistical results of freezing temperature.… More >

Abstract Researches in wireless mobile ad hoc networks have an inherent challenge of vulnerable diagnosis due to the diverse behaviour pattern of the vulnerable nodes causing heterogeneous vtype1, vtype2, vtupe3 and vtype4 faults. This paper proposes a protocol for the diagnosis of vulnerability nodes with threephases of clustering, vulnerable detection and vulnerable fault classification in wireless networks. This protocol employs the technique of probabilistic neural network for classification of vulnerable nodes and detects vulnerable nodes through timeout mechanism and vtype3, vtype4, vtype1, vtype2 nodes through the method of analysis variance. Network simulator NS-2.3.35 is employed for More >

Abstract According to the requirement of heterogeneous object modeling in additive manufacturing (AM), the Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) method has been applied to the digital representation of heterogeneous object in this paper. By putting forward the NURBS material data structure and establishing heterogeneous NURBS object model, the accurate mathematical unified representation of analytical and free heterogeneous objects have been realized. With the inverse modeling of heterogeneous NURBS objects, the geometry and material distribution can be better designed to meet the actual needs. CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.3, pp. 2277-2294, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011609 - 16 September 2020

Abstract Graph convolutional networks (GCNs) have been developed as a general and powerful tool to handle various tasks related to graph data. However, current methods mainly consider homogeneous networks and ignore the rich semantics and multiple types of objects that are common in heterogeneous information networks (HINs). In this paper, we present a Heterogeneous Hyperedge Convolutional Network (HHCN), a novel graph convolutional network architecture that operates on HINs. Specifically, we extract the rich semantics by different metastructures and adopt hyperedge to model the interactions among metastructure-based neighbors. Due to the powerful information extraction capabilities of metastructure… More >

A Trust Value Sharing Scheme in Heterogeneous Identity Federation Topologies

    Ning Liu1, Fan Yang1, *, Xi Xiong1, 2, Yan Chang1, Shibin Zhang1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1559-1570, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010562 - 20 August 2020

Abstract Recent developments in heterogeneous identity federation systems have heightened the need for the related trust management system. The trust management system evaluates, manages, and shares users’ trust values. The service provider (SP) members of the federation system rely on users’ trust values to determine which type and quality of service will be provided to the users. While identity federation systems have the potential to help federated users save time and energy and improve service experience, the benefits also come with significant privacy risks. So far, there has been little discussion about the privacy protection of… More >

Heterogeneous Pricing and Affordability of Residential Natural Gas Consumption: Lifestyle-Driven or Income-Determined?

    Bing Wang1,2,*, Yao Yao1, Liting He1, Xiangqian Pei1

    Energy Engineering, Vol.117, No.3, pp. 111-128, 2020, DOI:10.32604/EE.2020.010474 - 10 July 2020

Abstract With the huge increase in natural gas consumption, the distortion of natural gas prices, especially in the residential sector, is prominently shaped into a heavy burden for public finance. Although city gate price and a price linkage mechanism have been established, the price tolerance of residential natural gas should be considered when the price of residential gas fluctuates with the upstream gas price. Determinants of the price affordability of residential natural gas consumption at different economic development levels (Beijing, Nanjing, Zhengzhou) are investigated by field survey and online investigation and analyzed by a factor analysis… More >

Abstract Water, minerals, nutrients, etc., can be shared by physiological integration among inter-connected ramets of clonal plants. Nitrogen plays an important role in alleviating cadmium (Cd) stress for clonal plants. But how different forms of nitrogen affect growth performance of clonal plants subjected to heterogeneous Cd stress still remains poorly understood. A pot experiment was conducted to investigate the differential effects of ammonium and nitrate on growth performance of Glechoma longituba under heterogeneous Cd stress. In the experiment, parent ramets of Glechoma longituba clonal fragments were respectively supplied with modified Hoagland solution containing 7.5 mM ammonium, 7.5… More >

Abstract In this paper, maximizing energy efficiency (EE) through radio resource allocation for renewable energy powered heterogeneous cellular networks (HetNet) with energy sharing, is investigated. Our goal is to maximize the network EE, conquer the instability of renewable energy sources and guarantee the fairness of users during allocating resources. We define the objective function as a sum weighted EE of all links in the HetNet. We formulate the resource allocation problem in terms of subcarrier assignment, power allocation and energy sharing, as a mixed combinatorial and non-convex optimization problem. We propose an energy efficient resource allocation More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.63, No.3, pp. 1343-1356, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010008 - 30 April 2020

Abstract Interactivity is the most significant feature of network data, especially in social networks. Existing network embedding methods have achieved remarkable results in learning network structure and node attributes, but do not pay attention to the multiinteraction between nodes, which limits the extraction and mining of potential deep interactions between nodes. To tackle the problem, we propose a method called MultiInteraction heterogeneous information Network Embedding (MINE). Firstly, we introduced the multi-interactions heterogeneous information network and extracted complex heterogeneous relation sequences by the multi-interaction extraction algorithm. Secondly, we use a well-designed multi-relationship network fusion model based on More >
