    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.2, pp. 3957-3970, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.037254

Abstract In the traditional fringe projection profilometry system, the projector and the camera light center are both spatially virtual points. The spatial position relationships specified in the model are not easy to obtain, leading to inaccurate system parameters and affecting measurement accuracy. This paper proposes a method for solving the system parameters of the fringe projection profilometry system, and the spatial position of the camera and projector can be adjusted in accordance with the obtained calibration parameters. The steps are as follows: First, in accordance with the conversion relationship of the coordinate system in the calibration process, the calculation formula of… More >

    Shu-Yin Chiang*, Dong-Ye Wu

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.2, pp. 2509-2526, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.036466

Abstract Physiological signals indicate a person’s physical and mental state at any given time. Accordingly, many studies extract physiological signals from the human body with non-contact methods, and most of them require facial feature points. However, under COVID-19, wearing a mask has become a must in many places, so how non-contact physiological information measurements can still be performed correctly even when a mask covers the facial information has become a focus of research. In this study, RGB and thermal infrared cameras were used to execute non-contact physiological information measurement systems for heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and forehead temperature for… More >

STPGTN–A Multi-Branch Parameters Identification Method Considering Spatial Constraints and Transient Measurement Data

    Shuai Zhang, Liguo Weng*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.3, pp. 2635-2654, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.025405

Abstract Transmission line (TL) Parameter Identification (PI) method plays an essential role in the transmission system. The existing PI methods usually have two limitations: (1) These methods only model for single TL, and can not consider the topology connection of multiple branches for simultaneous identification. (2) Transient bad data is ignored by methods, and the random selection of terminal section data may cause the distortion of PI and have serious consequences. Therefore, a multi-task PI model considering multiple TLs’ spatial constraints and massive electrical section data is proposed in this paper. The Graph Attention Network module is used to draw a… More > Graphic Abstract

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.2, pp. 1207-1257, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.025492

Abstract Control charts (CCs) are one of the main tools in Statistical Process Control that have been widely adopted in manufacturing sectors as an effective strategy for malfunction detection throughout the previous decades. Measurement errors (M.E’s) are involved in the quality characteristic of interest, which can effect the CC’s performance. The authors explored the impact of a linear model with additive covariate M.E on the multivariate cumulative sum (CUSUM) CC for a specific kind of data known as compositional data (CoDa). The average run length is used to assess the performance of the proposed chart. The results indicate that M.E’s significantly… More >

    Wenhui Li1, Dazhi Wang1,*, Shuo Cao2, Deshan Kong1, Sihan Wang1, Zhong Hua1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.1, pp. 259-276, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.034622

Abstract In this paper, the axial-flux permanent magnet driver is modeled and analyzed in a simple and novel way under three-dimensional cylindrical coordinates. The inherent three-dimensional characteristics of the device are comprehensively considered, and the governing equations are solved by simplifying the boundary conditions. The axial magnetization of the sector-shaped permanent magnets is accurately described in an algebraic form by the parameters, which makes the physical meaning more explicit than the purely mathematical expression in general series forms. The parameters of the Bessel function are determined simply and the magnetic field distribution of permanent magnets and the air-gap is solved. Furthermore,… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.3, pp. 5705-5721, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.033194

Abstract Fog computing brings computational services near the network edge to meet the latency constraints of cyber-physical System (CPS) applications. Edge devices enable limited computational capacity and energy availability that hamper end user performance. We designed a novel performance measurement index to gauge a device’s resource capacity. This examination addresses the offloading mechanism issues, where the end user (EU) offloads a part of its workload to a nearby edge server (ES). Sometimes, the ES further offloads the workload to another ES or cloud server to achieve reliable performance because of limited resources (such as storage and computation). The manuscript aims to… More >

An Enhanced Group Key-Based Security Protocol to Protect 5G SON Against FBS

    Hoonyong Park1, TaeGuen Kim1, Daniel Gerbi Duguma1, Jiyoon Kim2, Ilsun You2,*, Willy Susilo3

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.2, pp. 1145-1165, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.032044

Abstract Network operators are attempting many innovations and changes in 5G using self-organizing networks (SON). The SON operates on the measurement reports (MR), which are obtained from user equipment (UE) and secured against malware and userspace programs. However, the synchronization signal block that the UE relies on to measure the wireless environment configured by a base station is not authenticated. As a result, the UE will likely gauge the wrong wireless environment configured by a false base station (FBS) and transmit the corresponding MR to the serving base station, which poisons the data used for 5G SONs. Therefore, the serving base… More >
