    Abstract Traffic simulators are utilized to solve a variety of traffic-related problems. For such simulators, origin-destination (OD) traffic volumes as mobility demands are required to input, and we need to estimate them. The authors regard an OD estimation as a bi-level programming problem, and apply a microscopic traffic simulation model to it.     Abstract In order to evaluate transportation policies quantitatively, virtual social experiments using traffic simulators are adequate. In particular, simulators with features of both precision and scalability are preferable for applications to real-world and wide-spread traffic phenomena. In this research, we tried to parallelize a multi-agent-based traffic simulator (ADVENTURE_Mates) and enhance its parallelization performance.     Abstract The cellular automaton (CA) model for traffic flow describes the restrictive vehicle movements using the distance headway (gap) between two adjacent vehicles. However, the autonomous and synergistic behaviors also exist in the vehicle movements. This paper makes an attempt to propose a microscopic traffic simulation model such that the feedback control behavior during the driving process is incorporated into the CA model.
