    Abstract Mitigating low-frequency noise poses a significant challenge for acoustic engineers, due to their long wavelength, with conventional porous sound absorbers showing limitations in attenuating such noise. An effective strategy involves combining porous materials with micro-perforated plates (MPP) to address this issue.     Abstract Reducing the aerodynamic drag and noise levels of high-speed pantographs is important for promoting environmentally friendly, energy efficient and rapid advances in train technology. Using computational fluid dynamics theory and the K-FWH acoustic equation, a numerical simulation is conducted to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of high-speed pantographs. A component optimization method is proposed as a possible solution to the problem of aerodynamic drag and noise in high-speed pantographs.     Abstract A relatively high aerodynamic drag is an important factor that hinders the further acceleration of high-speed trains. Using the shear stress transport (SST) k-ω turbulence model, the effect of various vortex generator types on the aerodynamic characteristics of an ICE2 (Inter-city Electricity) train has been investigated. The results indicate that the vortex generators with wider triangle, trapezoid, and micro-ramp arranged on the surface of the tail car can significantly change the distribution of surface pressure and affect the vorticity intensity in the wake.     Abstract This paper presents a numerical emulation study of heat transmission through tube banks in three-dimensions. Staggered configuration is displayed by fluid dynamics using computer programs (CFD) software (ANSYS fluent). The computer model is used to predict the values of the Nusselt number when changing the values of heat flux and longitudinal pitch. The longitudinal pitch (SL/D) of 1.3, 1.8, and 2.4 mm.     Abstract In this present work heat transfer characteristics, thermal performance and pressure drop are studied numerically for a finned-tube bank heat exchanger with Delta Winglet Vortex Generator (DWVG) on the fin at different angle of attack (α).     Abstract In this paper, a numerical model investigating the impact of gasket thermal quality on the reduction in the thermal contact resistance (TCR) between two solids is presented and validated analytically. The model proposed is a 2D steady state model. The thermal conductivity of the solid materials ranges from 20 to 390 W/m·K, and the gasket thermal conductivity ranges from 0.16W/m·K (TC of rubber) to and 5W/m·K (TC of thermal paste).
