Prospect Theory Based Hesitant Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making for Low Sulphur Fuel of Maritime Transportation

    Changli Lu1, Ming Zhao1,2, Imran Khan3, Peerapong Uthansakul4,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.2, pp. 1511-1528, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.012556 - 26 November 2020

Abstract The environmental impact of maritime transport has now become a relevant issue in sustainable policy formulation and has attracted increasing interest from academia. For the sustainable development of maritime transport, International Maritime Organization stipulates that the sulfur content of ship emissions will reach 0.5 from 2020. With the approaching of the stipulated implementation date, shipowners need to adopt scientific methods to make decision on low sulfur fuel. In this study, we applied a prospect theory based hesitant fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making model to obtain the optimal decision of low Sulphur marine fuel. For this purpose, the… More >

    Ishaq Al Salmi1, Terence Menezes1, Mohamed EL-Khodary1, Sandra Monteiro2, Ehsan A. Haider1, Abdullah Alabousi1

    Canadian Journal of Urology, Vol.27, No.3, pp. 10220-10227, 2020

Abstract Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the value of dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE) imaging in multi-parametric prostate MRI (mpMRI) for the detection and staging of prostate cancer in comparison with T2W and DWI images alone in biparametric MRI (bpMRI) in treatment-naïve patients.
Materials and methods: One hundred consecutive patients who underwent a prostate MRI at our institution from June-August 2017, as well as a systematic ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy or prostatectomy, were included. Strictly following PI-RADS v2, the MRI studies were independently interpreted by a body radiologist and a body-imaging fellow on two different occasions… More >

Gene expression of granulosa and cumulus cells: The prospect in predicting the quality and developmental competence of oocytes in vitro maturation

    BICHUN ZHAO1, XUEQING WU2,*, YITONG YUAN1, YUANTAO GAO1, XIAO LI2, RUOCHEN DU1, SUMING XU2, RUXIN ZHANG1, CHUNFANG WANG1,*

    BIOCELL, Vol.44, No.4, pp. 487-499, 2020, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2020.011638 - 24 December 2020

Abstract In vitro maturation (IVM), a promising assisted reproductive technology (ART), has been evolving in clinical trials and applications. There is a huge potential demand for IVM in clinical practice because it reduces the stimulation of gonadotropins to patients and provides evidence for the safety of neonatal birth. Unfortunately, the maturation rate of oocytes in vivo is not as high as it is in vivo due to a different microenvironment. Moreover, there are still controversies in predicting the developmental capability of oocytes in IVM. The granulosa cells (GCs) and cumulus cells (CCs), closely surrounding the oocytes, play a critical… More >

    Congenital Heart Disease, Vol.15, No.5, pp. 309-338, 2020, DOI:10.32604/CHD.2020.012599 - 23 September 2020

Abstract Background: Long-term outcomes in adults with prior arterial switch operation (ASO) have not yet been well defined. The aim of this study is to elucidate incidence and predictors of adverse cardiac outcomes in a prospectively followed cohort of adults after their ASO. Methods: The comprehensive longterm follow up of adults with ASO is a project within the European collaboration for prospective outcome research in congenital heart disease (EPOCH). It is designed as a prospective, international multicenter cohort study. Consecutive patients (age ≥ 16 years) with prior ASO will be included at 11 European tertiary care centers.… More >

    Mazen Alsinnawi1, Jennifer Cullen2,3,4, Lauren M. Hurwitz2,3, Katherine E. Levie2,3, John F. Burns1, Inger L. Rosner2,5, Timothy C. Brand2,6, Sean Stroup2,7, Joseph R. Sterbis2,8, Kevin Rice2,5, Galen Conti2,3, Christopher R. Porter1,2

    Canadian Journal of Urology, Vol.26, No.4, pp. 9809-9820, 2019

Abstract Introduction: To assess the impact of primary and secondary therapies for high- and intermediate-risk prostate cancer on health-related quality of life (HRQoL).
Materials and methods: A prospective study was initiated in 2007 at Center for Prostate Disease Research Multicenter National Database sites. Longitudinal patterns in HRQoL from baseline (pre-treatment) to 5 years post-diagnosis were examined for patients with high- and intermediate-risk prostate cancer, treated by radical prostatectomy (RP) or external beam radiation therapy (EBRT). Change in HRQoL was modeled using linear regression models fit with generalized estimating equations. The probability of maintaining HRQoL was compared between patients… More >

Ping Wen*, Sheng-Duo Chen*, Jia-Rui Wang, Ying-He Zeng*

    Oncology Research, Vol.27, No.5, pp. 583-592, 2019, DOI:10.3727/096504018X15368325811545

Abstract This study evaluated the difference in treatment response and survival profiles between drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) and conventional transarterial chemoembolization (cTACE) treatments in Chinese hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. A total of 120 HCC patients were consecutively enrolled in this prospective cohort study, which showed that DEB-TACE achieved higher complete response (CR) (30.8%) compared with cTACE (7.4%) with no difference in overall response rate (ORR) for patients treated with DEB-TACE and cTACE (80.8% vs. 73.5%). In addition, DEB-TACE was associated with a lower rate of progressive disease (PD) compared with cTACE (1.9% vs. 11.8%). With… More >

    Guixue Wang1,*, Li Yang1

    Molecular & Cellular Biomechanics, Vol.16, Suppl.2, pp. 10-10, 2019, DOI:10.32604/mcb.2019.08410

Abstract The biomechanics research of Chongqing University (CQU) began in the late 1970s, which has always been guided and helped by Prof. YC Fung. Prof. YP Wu, Prof. GR Wang at CQU were two of the earliest four Chinese scholars to visit and study in Fung's laboratory in the United States. In the autumn of 1979, Fung held a biomechanical workshop in CQU and the former Huazhong Institute of Technology. With the help of him, Prof. YP Wu founded the first Biomechanics Research Lab in China in the late 1970s. The first program for master’s degree… More >
