    Effective Piecewise Linear Skeletonization of Sparse Shapes

    Abstract Conventional image skeletonization techniques implicitly assume the pixel level connectivity. However, noise inside the object regions destroys the connectivity and exhibits sparseness in the image. We present a skeletonization algorithm designed for these kinds of sparse shapes. The skeletons are produced quickly by using three operations. First, initial skeleton nodes are selected by farthest point sampling with circles containing the maximum effective information.     Abstract Speech resampling is a typical tempering behavior, which is often integrated into various speech forgeries, such as splicing, electronic disguising, quality faking and so on.     Abstract A local reproducing kernel method based on spatial trial space spanned by the Newton basis functions in the native Hilbert space of the reproducing kernel is proposed. It is a truly meshless approach which uses the local sub clusters of domain nodes for approximation of the arbitrary field.     Abstract The problem of solving infinite noncooperative games approximately is considered. The game may either have solution or have no solution. The existing solution may be unknown as well. Therefore, an approach of obtaining the approximate solution of the infinite noncooperative game on the unit hypercube is suggested.     Abstract A morphological characterization in situ of Capsicum spp was made in 13 localities in the state of Tabasco, México, during 2004 and 2005. The objective was to sample and identify different morphotypes of chilli pepper which grow under wild and cultivated conditions. Eleven chilli pepper morphotypes were found. Most of them were wild (Amashito, Corazón de pollo, Muela, Garbanzo, Garbanzo raro and Desconocido) and corresponded to C. annuum.
