    Abstract Eating quality is of paramount importance to rice (Oryza sativa L.) consumers and soft rice with low amylose content has become popular in China. This study was conducted to evaluate the performance of soft rice grown in the early season (ES) dominated by non-soft rice.     Abstract High accurary in wind speed forcasting remains hard to achieve due to wind’s random distribution nature and its seasonal characteristics. Randomness, intermittent and nonstationary usually cause the portion problem of the wind speed forecasting. Seasonal characteristics of wind speed means that its feature distribution is inconsistent. This typically results that the persistence of excitation for modeling can not be guaranteed, and may severely reduce the possibilities of high precise forecasting model.     Abstract The reproductive cycle in anurans may be either continuous or discontinuous. These differences may be connected to seasonal climate changes and/or to anthropic activity. Forty adult male individuals of the Dendropsophus minutus species were collected during one year, in the municipality of Chapada dos Guimarães (Mato Grosso, Brazil).     Abstract In this work we contribute to the knowledge of the reproductive phenology of Stenocereus stellatus (Pfeiffer,Riccobono), a columnar cactus that produces fruits of high commercial perspectives known as “pitayas”.     Abstract Seasonal changes in the reproductive activity of the adult male viscacha (Lagostomus maximus maximus) were investigated during the annual reproductive cycle.
