    Abstract A significant portion of losses in the fruit and vegetable sector are caused by the necrotrophic fungus Botrytis cinerea, due to its high prevalence in over 1000 crop species. Identifying a technology capable of exclusively inhibiting its growth and development remains challenging; therefore, various treatments have been proposed to act synergistically in preventing the spread of this pathogen.     Abstract In this paper, the stability of the results of ultrasonic wood surface modification after long-term storage, including macroscopic properties and microstructure of specimens, was investigated. This research introduces a novel preprocessing method: iterative k-means clustering combined with silhouette score analysis, aimed at downsampling.     Abstract Sound contains mechanical signals that can promote physiological and biochemical changes in plants. Insects produce different sounds in the environment, which may be relevant to plant behavior. Thus, we evaluated whether signaling cascades are regulated differently by ecological sounds and whether they trigger molecular responses following those produced by herbivorous insects.
