These components offer a significant advantage: following an earthquake, only the pre-designed replaceable elements need to be swapped out to restore the building’s overall functionality, thereby enhancing seismic resilience and reparability. This study conducted a comprehensive literature review utilizing databases such as Web of Science and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). This study retrieves and analyzes relevant literature from the Web of Science and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases. Utilizing CiteSpace, a visualization analysis is performed on key elements including keywords, publication timelines, authors, and institutions. Specifically, keyword co-occurrence maps, high-frequency keyword lists, and clustering network diagrams are generated to map the distribution of authors and research institutions, thereby revealing the primary characteristics and research hotspots of the field. The paper reviews the current research status of major joint configurations and systematically analyzes the research directions of critical lateral-force-resisting units. Furthermore, the impact of hazards on structural survivability is explored, and the application prospects of Digital Twins and Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINN) in precision assessment and decision-making are evaluated, aiming to provide a theoretical foundation and technical framework for the construction of resilient cities.
