Summary

The use of fossil fuels has accelerated economic development. However, the consequences of this have led to serious environmental problems and calls to decarbonise future energy use to mitigate climate change.

The development and use of energy sustainability has been growing in importance in recent years. In the strategic planning of many countries, sustainable development related to economic, social and industrial parameters is supported by their energy development.

In this Special Issue, we invite investigators to contribute both original research articles and review articles that will explore as many aspects as possible to demonstrate the applications and progressions in hydrogen and renewable energy technologies along with advancements in energy materials systems.

The scope of the Special Issue included but not limited to:

l  Hydrogen Energy Technologies (e.g. Electrolyzers, Fuel cells, etc.)

l  Electro-Chemical-Mechanical Energy Conversion Processes

l  Renewable Energy Technologies

l  Energy Materials

l  Role of Hydrocarbon Systems in Energy Transition via Hydrogen Process

l  Renewable Energy Economics and Policies
