Vaibhav Rai Khare is an Energy Engineer and a CFD user from past 9 years. His interest focused on various applications of CFD such as Building CFD, Multiphase flow and thermal comfort. He has published around 16 research papers in esteemed journals and conferences. He is a founder member of IBPSA-India chapter and has been part of various prestigious international conferences (IBPSA BS2015, IC2UHI2019, IBPSA ASim2020) as a technical organizer and member of the scientific committee.

Anuj Mathur, Associate Professor, Global Institute of Technology, Jaipur
Dr. Anuj Mathur is a PhD focused in passive cooling and heating from MNIT Jaipur. His current research focuses on Heat transfer, Building CFD, Solar Energy and CFD of multiphase flow. He has published more than 15 research papers in different journals and acts as an esteemed reviewer of the various reputed journals. 

Summary

The special issue of the Fluid dynamics and Material Processing covers research in sustainable energy, green buildings, and thermal comfort. It focuses on recent development and research studies in the area of green buildings, airflow in buildings, and computational fluid dynamics to achieve thermal comfort.

Interesting topics considered are including but not limited to the following:

1) Numerical modelling of the airflow, multiphase flow

2) CFD of radiant cooling system with different materials

3) CFD of transport and dispersion process of contaminants and pathogens in healthcare facilities

4) CFD of Parking garage ventilation to study the effect of CO and CO2 concentration

5) CFD of smoke prediction and predict the number of jet fans and location to let out the smoke out of the building.

6) CFD in the design of naturally ventilated buildings
