Congenital Heart Disease Welcomes Dr. Kisaburo Sakamoto as Co-Editor-in-Chief

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Kisaburo Sakamoto has been appointed as a new co-Editor-in-Chief of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) effective from November 2023. Dr. Sakamoto will join Dr. Vladimiro L. Vida and Dr. Xuming Mo in this leadership role of editorial management of the journal. Dr. Sakamoto is an eminent personality in the field of pediatric cardiac surgery, and we are thrilled to have him join our team. Dr. Sakamoto is the President of the Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Children’s Hospital and a Consultant Surgeon in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery. He is also a Clinical Professor at Kyoto University and Hamamatsu University School of Medicine.

 

Dr. Sakamoto has made significant contributions to the field of pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery. He is the Vice-President of the Japanese Society of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery and the President of the Asian Association for Pediatric and Cardiology Heart Surgery. He is an active member of many domestic and international medical associations in this field. Dr. Sakamoto's extensive experience and dedication to improving the field of pediatric cardiac surgery will surely aid the advancement of CHD journals in all aspects. We are confident that his knowledge and expertise will help us continue to provide high-quality and cutting-edge scientific research in the field.
