    Abstract While fatty acids play essential roles in the physiology of the myocardium, conventional culture media contain little lipid. We previously revealed that rat neonatal myocardium mainly contains docosahexaenoic (DHA), linoleic (LA), and arachidonic (AA) acids as polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), and these contents in cultured cardiomyocytes derived from fetal rats were markedly lower than those in the neonatal myocardium.     Abstract Irinotecan, a topoisomerase inhibitor, is a common cytotoxic agent prescribed for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients. Diarrhea is the most common adverse event (AE). The underlying mechanism of irinotecaninduced diarrhea is intestinal mucosal damage caused by SN-38 (active metabolite of irinotecan) hydrolyzed from SN-38G (inactive metabolite) by bacterial -glucuronidase ( G).     Abstract Introduction: To investigate the use of a high-arginine immunonutrient supplement prior to radical cystectomy for bladder cancer.
    Materials and methods: We recruited 40 patients to consume a total of four high-arginine immunonutrient shakes per day for 5 days prior to radical cystectomy. The primary outcome measures were safety, tolerability and adherence to the supplementation regimen. Ninety-day postoperative outcomes were also compared between supplemented patients and a cohort of 104 prospectively identified non-supplemented radical cystectomy patients. The studied concrete mixtures were based on blast-furnace cement, with an additional application of supplementary cementitious materials—fly ash, metakaolin, and silica fume and fluidized fly ash. Coarse aggregate in the form of crushed concrete was applied for all studied concrete mixtures.
