    Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.22, No.6, pp. 1839-1863, 2024, DOI:10.32604/fhmt.2024.057760 - 19 December 2024

Abstract A wide range of technological and industrial domains, including heating processors, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and others, are facing issues as a result of the recent developments in heat transmission. Nanofluids are a novel type of heat transfer fluid that has the potential to provide solutions that will improve energy transfer. The current study investigates the effect of a magnetic field on the two-dimensional flow of Williamson nanofluid over an exponentially inclined stretched sheet. This investigation takes into account the presence of multi-slip effects. We also consider the influence of viscous dissipation, thermal radiation, chemical… More >

    R. Madan Kumar1, R. Srinivasa Raju2, F. Mebarek-Oudina3,*, M. Anil Kumar4, V. K. Narla2

    Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.22, No.1, pp. 15-34, 2024, DOI:10.32604/fhmt.2024.048045 - 21 March 2024

Abstract The primary aim of this research endeavor is to examine the characteristics of magnetohydrodynamic Williamson nanofluid flow past a nonlinear stretching surface that is immersed in a permeable medium. In the current analysis, the impacts of Soret and Dufour (cross-diffusion effects) have been attentively taken into consideration. Using appropriate similarity variable transformations, the governing nonlinear partial differential equations were altered into nonlinear ordinary differential equations and then solved numerically using the Runge Kutta Fehlberg-45 method along with the shooting technique. Numerical simulations were then perceived to show the consequence of various physical parameters on the… More > Graphic Abstract

MHD UNSTEADY FLOW OF A WILLIAMSON NANOFLUID IN A VERTICAL POROUS SPACE WITH OSCILLATING WALL TEMPERATURE

    D. Lourdu Immaculatea , R. Muthurajb,*, Anant Kant Shuklac, S. Srinivasd

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.7, pp. 1-14, 2016, DOI:10.5098/hmt.7.12

Abstract This article aims to examine the MHD unsteady flow of Williamson nanofluid in a vertical channel filled with a porous material and oscillating wall temperature. The modeling of this problem is transformed to ordinary differential equations by collecting the non-periodic and periodic terms and then series solutions are obtained by using a powerful method known as the homotopy analysis method (HAM). The influence of involved parameters on heat and mass transfer characteristics of the fluid flow is computed and presented graphically. Further, variations on volume flow rate, coefficient of skin friction, heat transfer rate and More >
