Abstract The discrete-analytical solution method is proposed for the solution to problems related to the dynamics of the hydro-elastic system consisting of an axially-moving pre-stressed plate, compressible viscous fluid and rigid wall. The fluid flow caused by the axial movement of the plate and the pre-stresses in the plate are taken into consideration as the initial state of the system under consideration. It is assumed that the additional lineally-located time-harmonic forces act on the plate and these forces cause additional flow field in the fluid and an additional stress-strain state in the plate. The additional stress-strain state in the plate is… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.83, No.4, pp. 403-424, 2012, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2012.083.403

Abstract In order to master the geometric and mechanical behavior of helical structure under complicated condition such as the hoisting rope in mine shaft and the transmitting cable in electric power, the thermal expansion characteristic of single helical structure is systematically investigated under temperature effect in different layer. Linearly explicit expressions of axial strain and increment of helical angle for the helical unit of the ith layer are developed. Based on theory of curve by Love and theory of wire rope by Costello, the linearly explicit expressions of tension, torsion and bending moment of the helical unit are presented. After that,… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.20, No.3, pp. 225-242, 2010, DOI:10.3970/cmc.2010.020.225

Abstract Aim of this paper is to estimate the integrity of liquefied natural gas (LNG) prestressed storage tank under seismic influence. The coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL) analysis technique is used to simulate the fluid-structure interaction between LNG and the cylinder of LNG prestressed storage tank. The 3-D model of LNG has been dispersed by Eulerian mesh that is different from traditional analysis method which is called the added mass method. Meanwhile, both of the 3-D models of prestressed rebar and concrete structure are dispersed by Lagrangian mesh. Following conclusions are obtained: 1) Natural frequency of the whole model has been obtained by… More >
