    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.63, No.1, pp. 401-416, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.06680

Abstract In this paper, we investigate the performance of secondary transmission scheme based on Markov ON-OFF state of primary users in Underlay cognitive radio networks. We propose flexible secondary cooperative transmission schemewith interference cancellation technique according to the ON-OFF status of primary transmitter. For maximal ratio combining (MRC) at destination, we have derived exact closed-form expressions of the outage probability in different situations. The numerical simulation results also reveal that the proposed scheme improve the secondary transmission performance compared with traditional mechanism in terms of secondary outage probability and energy efficiency. CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.63, No.1, pp. 197-212, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.07059

Abstract This paper proposes a hybrid spectrum accessing mechanism by using NOMA-based cooperative transmission and beam-forming technology. In this mechanism, the secondary user employs spectrum-sensing technology to detect the existence of the primary user. If the primary user does not exist, the secondary source user directly transmits data to the destination user. If the primary user exists, the secondary source user finds the optimal relay according to certain selection principle before transmitting data to the destination user through the chosen relay node. For the signal receiving stage, the secondary user takes use of beam-forming technology to More >

Cooperative Relay Selection Mechanism in Multi-Hop Networks

    Jian Liu1, Lei Wang1, Changming Zhao2, 3, *, Alan Yang4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.63, No.1, pp. 119-130, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.06074

Abstract In this paper, we consider a three-hop relay system based on interference cancellation technique in Underlay cognitive radio (CR) network. Although underlay CR has been shown as a promising technique to better utilize the source of primary users (PUs), its secondary performance will be severely degraded. On one hand, by adapting the Underlay spectrum sharing pattern, secondary users (SUs) would observe the strict power constraints and be interfered by primary users. On the other hand, limited transmit power results in limited transmission range, which greatly degrade the secondary transmission capacity. To solve the problems above, More >

Abstract Wireless communications have to face to several different security issues in practice due to the nature of broadcast. The information theory is well known to provide efficient approaches to address security issues in wireless communications, which attracts much attention in both industry and academia in recent years. In this paper, inspired by information theory, we study the outage probability of the opportunistic relay selection based on cognitive decode-and-forward relaying with the secrecy consideration. Specifically, the closed-form expression of the outage probability is proposed. Moreover, the asymptotic performance evaluation on the basis of the analytical results More >

Social-Aware Based Secure Relay Selection in Relay-Assisted D2D Communications

    Shanshan Yu1, Ju Liu1,*, Xiaoqing Zhang1, Shangbin Wu2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.2, pp. 505-516, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.04282

Abstract Relay-assisted transmission could effectively enhance the performance of Device-to-Device (D2D) communications when D2D user equipments (UEs) are too far away from each other or the quality of D2D channel is not good enough for direct communications. Meanwhile, security is one of the major concerns for proximity services. The secure relay selection problem for D2D communications underlaying cellular network is studied in this paper. Firstly, we define a relay selection area and derive the closed-form of outage probability in D2D links using a Poisson Point Process (PPP) method. Next, in the defined relay selection area, we More >

A Multi-Objective Metaheuristics Study on Solving Constrained Relay Node Deployment Problem in WSNS

Wenjie Yu, Xunbo Li, Hang Yang, Bo Huang

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.2, pp. 367-376, 2018, DOI:10.1080/10798587.2017.1294873

Abstract This paper studies how to deploy relay nodes into traditional wireless sensor networks with constraint aiming to simultaneously optimize two important factors; average energy consumption and average network reliability. We consider tackling this multi-objective (MO) optimization problem with three metaheuristics, which employ greatly different evolutional strategies, and aim at an in-depth analysis of different performances of these metaheuristics to our problem. For this purpose, a statistical procedure is employed to analyse the results for confidence, in consideration of two MO quality metrics; hypervolume and coverage of two sets. After comprehensive analysis of the results, it More >

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.17, No.3, pp. 83-84, 2011, DOI:10.3970/icces.2011.017.083

Abstract Thanks to its high precision, non-contact feature and low cost, videometrics has found wide application in recent years. However, it is generally suited only for the pose (i.e., position and attitude) measurement of intervisible objects or objects in the same viewing field. The traditional videometric approach cannot be used to measure the pose deformation of objects in a large viewing field or of non-intervisible objects in the large structures commonly used in technological and engineering construction today. To overcome the difficulties encountered in applying traditional videometrics to deformation measurement between non-intervisible objects, Yu et al.… More >
