Smart Biotechnology


Aims & Scope

Smart Biotechnology is dedicated to providing an international, peer-reviewed platform for high-quality research in fields of biotechnology, engineering, and medicine. Its primary aim is to foster the development of fundamental discoveries and technological innovations, and their translation into clinically applications. The journal will emphasize studies that combine methodological or technological innovation with rigorous biological validation and clear translational relevance.

The scope of the journal will include, but not limited to: nanobiotechnology and molecular engineering, analytical biotechnologies, regenerative medicine and imaging technologies. It will also cover developments in large-scale biology, including genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, together with advances in computational biology and data-driven approaches to biomedical research. In addition, the journal also welcomes contributions in food and agricultural biotechnology, applied immune biotechnology, and environmental biotechnology. The journal publishes research articles, rapid communications, reviews, perspectives, commentaries, methods papers, and letters to the Editor. Thematic issues and invited contributions from leading experts in emerging interdisciplinary fields will also be featured.

The journal follows TSP’s editorial integrity framework. Policies and procedures regarding research ethics, peer review standards, corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions are implemented in accordance with TSP’s Publication Ethics Policies.

TSP takes the responsibility to enforce a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure adding the highest quality scientific works to the field of scholarly publication. TSP takes such publishing ethics issues very seriously on every level. Our staff are trained to identify and report any irregularities. Our editors follow Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and proceed with a zero tolerance policy for ethical violations, including plagiarism, data falsification and authorship misconduct. To confirm the originality of all submitted manuscripts, we use iThenticate for similarity checks against prior publications.
