Chengdu, China, 24 April 2026 — The Canadian Journal of Urology (CJU) was invited to participate in the 3rd “Dong’an Lake” Innovation and Translation Forum and the 2026 Huaxi Urology Young Scholars Conference held in Chengdu. Taking this opportunity, CJU representatives engaged with experts and scholars from universities, hospitals, and research institutions across China, exchanging views on frontier research in urology, journal development pathways, and international academic collaboration.
During the event, CJU representatives held in-depth discussions with editorial board members on the journal’s future direction, section development, international communication, and strategies for attracting high-quality submissions. Experts offered valuable suggestions on the journal’s positioning and long-term development, noting the growing importance of international journal platforms in supporting knowledge dissemination and cross-regional collaboration, and highlighting CJU’s strong potential for future growth.
In the roundtable session, the CJU team discussed emerging trends in urology, support for early-career researchers, and the international communication of scientific research with clinicians, researchers, and educators. The session featured active discussions and exchanges of ideas among participants.
