Canadian Journal of Urology – 2025 Annual Review

Gratitude, Growth, and Global Engagement

 

The Canadian Journal of Urology (CJU) is pleased to share its 2025 annual highlights. Over the past year, the journal has maintained steady growth, strengthened its academic foundation, and expanded international reach.

 

In 2025, CJU received 427 submissions and published 116 high-quality articles, with efficient editorial workflows—30 days to first decision and 88 days to acceptance on average. Over 2,000 authors from leading research and clinical institutions worldwide contributed to the journal’s success, supported by 43 Editorial Board members, more than 10 Young Editorial Board members, and 596 expert reviewers.

CJU’s growth is reflected in its metrics:

In 2025, CJU published six regular issues, each featuring a cover story highlighting impactful and clinically relevant research. The issues span a wide range of urological topics, including oncology, functional urology, imaging, surgical innovation, and translational research.

CJU launched six high-quality Special Issues in 2025, each led by recognized experts. These thematic collections focus on emerging research topics and provide concentrated platforms for academic discussion.

The journal actively engaged with the international urology community, attending major national and international conferences. These activities strengthened global academic exchange and increased the visibility and impact of CJU.

 

Acknowledgements and Outlook

CJU’s achievements in 2025 are built on the collective effort of its Editorial Board, Young Editorial Board members, reviewers, authors, and readers. Each submission, review, and citation contributes to the advancement of urology worldwide.

 

Looking ahead, CJU will continue to maintain high editorial standards, expand international reach, and provide a trusted platform for high-quality urological research.
