IJG Open Access

International Journal of Geomatics (IJG, formerly known as Revue Internationale de Géomatique) is an international interdisciplinary journal dedicated to the sciences of geographical information and spatial analysis. Established in 1991 under its former title, Revue Internationale de Géomatique (RIG), the journal has a long-standing history of publishing research in geographical information and spatial analysis. From 2027, the journal will continue its publication under the new title, International Journal of Geomatics (IJG), promoting interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers from geography, computer science, remote sensing, social sciences, environmental sciences, archaeology, agronomy, and related fields.
The journal focuses on approaches, methods, and tools developed to analyse, model, represent, and solve spatial problems in geographical space. IJG welcomes both theoretical and application-oriented contributions related to geomatics, geospatial technologies, and spatial decision-making.
All manuscripts, including invited submissions, undergo a rigorous and thorough editorial and peer-review process to ensure the reliability, scientific integrity, and academic value of published research.

Effective with Volume 36 (2027), Revue Internationale de Géomatique will be renamed International Journal of Geomatics.
The journal remains dedicated to high-quality research in the sciences of geographical information and spatial analysis and continues under the same editorial leadership and peer-review framework.
