Abstract Introduction: To evaluate the overall survival and pathologic downstaging effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for upper tract urothelial cell carcinoma.
Materials and methods: The National Cancer Database (NCDB) was queried for patients with stage II-IV upper tract urothelial cell carcinoma undergoing definitive surgical resection (nephroureterectomy) from 2004-2015. Patients with metastatic disease were excluded. Cohorts were stratified by receipt of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox regression were used to evaluate overall survival. Abstract Introduction: To investigate the mid-term results of penile prosthesis (PP) implantation in patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) from a “real-life” historic cohort in a French academic center.
Materials and methods: All patients receiving an inflatable PP between 2004 and 2014 in our institution were included in this study. ED was assessed preoperatively using the IIEF-5 questionnaire. Postoperative satisfaction with the PP was assessed using the EDITS questionnaire at each follow-up visit. Postoperative complications were classed according to the Clavien classification. Abstract This study evaluated the difference in treatment response and survival profiles between drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) and conventional transarterial chemoembolization (cTACE) treatments in Chinese hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients.
