Randomized MILP framework for Securing Virtual Machines from Malware Attacks

    R. Mangalagowri1,*, Revathi Venkataraman2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.2, pp. 1565-1580, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.026360 - 19 July 2022

Abstract Cloud computing involves remote server deployments with public network infrastructures that allow clients to access computational resources. Virtual Machines (VMs) are supplied on requests and launched without interactions from service providers. Intruders can target these servers and establish malicious connections on VMs for carrying out attacks on other clustered VMs. The existing system has issues with execution time and false-positive rates. Hence, the overall system performance is degraded considerably. The proposed approach is designed to eliminate Cross-VM side attacks and VM escape and hide the server’s position so that the opponent cannot track the target… More >

Cyberattack Detection Framework Using Machine Learning and User Behavior Analytics

    Abdullah Alshehri1,*, Nayeem Khan1, Ali Alowayr1, Mohammed Yahya Alghamdi2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1679-1689, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.026526 - 15 June 2022

Abstract This paper proposes a novel framework to detect cyber-attacks using Machine Learning coupled with User Behavior Analytics. The framework models the user behavior as sequences of events representing the user activities at such a network. The represented sequences are then fitted into a recurrent neural network model to extract features that draw distinctive behavior for individual users. Thus, the model can recognize frequencies of regular behavior to profile the user manner in the network. The subsequent procedure is that the recurrent neural network would detect abnormal behavior by classifying unknown behavior to either regular or… More >

A Virtual Cloud Storage Architecture for Enhanced Data Security

    M. Antony Joans Kumar1,*, C. Christopher Columbus2, E. Ben George3, T. Ajith Bosco Raj4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1735-1747, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.025906 - 15 June 2022

Abstract The sensitive data stored in the public cloud by privileged users, such as corporate companies and government agencies are highly vulnerable in the hands of cloud providers and hackers. The proposed Virtual Cloud Storage Architecture is primarily concerned with data integrity and confidentiality, as well as availability. To provide confidentiality and availability, the file to be stored in cloud storage should be encrypted using an auto-generated key and then encoded into distinct chunks. Hashing the encoded chunks ensured the file integrity, and a newly proposed Circular Shift Chunk Allocation technique was used to determine the… More >

    R.M. Bhavadharini1,*, S. Karthik2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1233-1250, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.025461 - 15 June 2022

Abstract With recent advancements made in wireless communication techniques, wireless sensors have become an essential component in both data collection as well as tracking applications. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an integral part of Internet of Things (IoT) and it encounters different kinds of security issues. Blockchain is designed as a game changer for highly secure and effective digital society. So, the current research paper focuses on the design of Metaheuristic-based Clustering with Routing Protocol for Blockchain-enabled WSN abbreviated as MCRP-BWSN. The proposed MCRP-BWSN technique aims at deriving a shared memory scheme using blockchain technology and… More >

Data Mining with Privacy Protection Using Precise Elliptical Curve Cryptography

    B. Murugeshwari1,*, D. Selvaraj2, K. Sudharson3, S. Radhika4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.1, pp. 839-851, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.028548 - 06 June 2022

Abstract Protecting the privacy of data in the multi-cloud is a crucial task. Data mining is a technique that protects the privacy of individual data while mining those data. The most significant task entails obtaining data from numerous remote databases. Mining algorithms can obtain sensitive information once the data is in the data warehouse. Many traditional algorithms/techniques promise to provide safe data transfer, storing, and retrieving over the cloud platform. These strategies are primarily concerned with protecting the privacy of user data. This study aims to present data mining with privacy protection (DMPP) using precise elliptic More >

Encryption with User Authentication Model for Internet of Medical Things Environment

    K. S. Riya1, R. Surendran2,*, Carlos Andrés Tavera Romero3, M. Sadish Sendil4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.1, pp. 507-520, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.027779 - 06 June 2022

Abstract Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) enabled e-healthcare has the potential to greately improve conventional healthcare services significantly. However, security and privacy become major issues of IoMT because of the restricted processing abilities, storage, and energy constraints of the sensors. Therefore, it leads to infeasibility of developing traditional cryptographic solutions to the IoMT sensors. In order to ensure security on sensitive medical data, effective encryption and authentication techniques need to be designed to assure security of the patients and healthcare service providers. In this view, this study designs an effective metaheuristic optimization based encryption with user… More >

Deep Learning Based Autonomous Transport System for Secure Vehicle and Cargo Matching

    T. Shanthi1,*, M. Ramprasath2, A. Kavitha3, T. Muruganantham4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.1, pp. 957-969, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.027775 - 06 June 2022

Abstract The latest 6G improvements secured autonomous driving's realism in Intelligent Autonomous Transport Systems (IATS). Despite the IATS's benefits, security remains a significant challenge. Blockchain technology has grown in popularity as a means of implementing safe, dependable, and decentralised independent IATS systems, allowing for more utilisation of legacy IATS infrastructures and resources, which is especially advantageous for crowdsourcing technologies. Blockchain technology can be used to address security concerns in the IATS and to aid in logistics development. In light of the inadequacy of reliance and inattention to rights created by centralised and conventional logistics systems, this… More >

Abstract The Internet of Things (IoT) is a recent technology, which implies the union of objects, “things”, into a single worldwide network. This promising paradigm faces many design challenges associated with the dramatic increase in the number of end-devices. Device identification is one of these challenges that becomes complicated with the increase of network devices. Despite this, there is still no universally accepted method of identifying things that would satisfy all requirements of the existing IoT devices and applications. In this regard, one of the most important problems is choosing an identification system for all IoT… More >

    K. Meenakshi*, K. Sashi Rekha

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.1, pp. 111-128, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.025032 - 06 June 2022

Abstract Blockchain technology is a shared database of logs of all consumer transactions which are registered on all machines on a network. Both transactions in the system are carried out by consensus processes and to preserve confidentiality all the files contained cannot be changed. Blockchain technology is the fundamental software behind digital currencies like Bitcoin, which is common in the marketplace. Cloud computing is a method of using a network of external machines to store, monitor, and process information, rather than using the local computer or a local personal computer. The software is currently facing multiple… More >
