    Bhagawan Singh Yadav, Sushila Choudhary

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.18, pp. 1-10, 2022, DOI:10.5098/hmt.18.18

Abstract The present study concentrates on squeeze MHD flow of Casson fluid between parallel plates surrounded by a porous medium. The influence of melting, viscous dissipation and thermal radiation on the heat transfer process is disclosed. The characteristics of mass transport are detected with chemical reactions. Suitable similarity transforms are used to convert the partial differential equations into a system of ordinary differential equations. The transformed equations are solved using the bvp4c matlab solver with the shooting method. Our present study concluded that fluid velocity has direct relation with melting parameter while it is reciprocally related More >

    P. Chandra Reddya, B. Hari Babub,*, K. Sreenivasuluc

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.19, pp. 1-5, 2022, DOI:10.5098/hmt.19.27

Abstract This examination carried out on thermophoresis impact on a micropolar fluid under heat flux which is not changeable in conducting field. The flow past a vertical porous plate is taken with the influence of thermal radiation and diffusion simultaneously. The flow governed non linear partial differential equations in this model are distorted to a structure of non-linear ordinary ones through fitting corresponding transformations and later solved by Runge–Kutta Fourth order with shooting technique method. The effects of selected corporal parameters on the dimensionless velocity, microrotation and temperature profiles are examined and handled graphically. Lastly, numerical More >

Abstract The numerous applications of Maxwell Nanofluid Stagnation Point Flow, such as those in production industries, the processing of polymers, compression, power generation, lubrication systems, food manufacturing and air conditioning, among other applications, require further research into the effects of various parameters on flow phenomena. In this paper, a study has been carried out for the heat and mass transfer of Maxwell nanofluid flow over the heated stretching sheet. A mathematical model with constitutive expressions is constructed in partial differential equations (PDEs) through obligatory basic conservation laws. A series of transformations are then used to take… More >

    Nourhan I. Ghoneim1,*, Ahmed M. Megahed2

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.18, No.5, pp. 1373-1388, 2022, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.020509

Abstract Thermal radiative heat transfer through a thin horizontal liquid film of a Newtonian nanofluid subjected to a magnetic field is considered. The physical boundary conditions are a variable surface heat flux and a uniform concentration along the sheet. Moreover, viscous dissipation is present and concentration is assumed to be influenced by both thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects. Using a similarity method to turn the underlying Partial differential equations into a set of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and a shooting technique to solve these equations, the skin-friction coefficient, the Nusselt number, and the Sherwood number are More >

Abstract In current study, the numerical computations of Reiner–Rivlin nanofluid flow through a rotational disk under the influence of thermal radiation and Arrhenius activation energy is considered. For innovative physical situations, the motile microorganisms are incorporated too. The multiple slip effects are considered in the boundary conditions. The bioconvection of motile microorganism is utilized alongside nanofluids to provide stability to enhanced thermal transportation. The Bioconvection pattern in various nanoparticles accredits novel applications of biotechnology like the synthesis of biological polymers, biosensors, fuel cells, petroleum engineering, and the natural environment. By deploying some suitable similarity transformation functions,… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.129, No.2, pp. 689-703, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.014980

Abstract Convective flow is a self-sustained flow with the effect of the temperature gradient. The density is non-uniform due to the variation of temperature. The effect of the magnetic flux plays a major role in convective flow. The process of heat transfer is accompanied by a mass transfer process; for instance, condensation, evaporation, and chemical process. Due to the applications of the heat and mass transfer combined effects in a different field, the main aim of this paper is to do a comprehensive analysis of heat and mass transfer of MHD unsteady second-grade fluid in the… More >
