Abstract
Serious complications of shock wave lithotripsy (SWL)
are rare, but can have significant long term effects. We
present a case of acute renal vein thrombus following
SWL leading to subsequent renal atrophy and loss of
renal function. To our knowledge this is a newly reported
complication of SWL.
