19–20 April 2025–Nanjing, China—The 2025 National Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) Surgery Conference was successfully held at the Nanjing International Expo Convention Center.
The conference was hosted by the Chinese Society for Medical Biotechnology and co-organized by Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) journal, Children’s Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, and other supporting institutions. The event brought together nearly 1,000 specialists from major cardiovascular centers nationwide and attracted leading experts from both China and abroad.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. Xuming Mo, Editor-in-Chief of Congenital Heart Disease, who also serves as Honorary President and Director of the Cardiac Center at Children's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. Speeches were delivered by renowned figures including Prof. Aihua Zhang, Prof. Nianguo Dong, Prof. Yijiang Chen, Prof. Kisaburo Sakamoto, and Prof. Qing Lan, who all highlighted the importance of academic collaboration and highly praised the international development of the CHD journal.
During the event, the official unveiling ceremony of the collaboration between Congenital Heart Disease and the Asian Association for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (AAPCHS) was held. The journal now serves as the official publication of AAPCHS. This historic partnership was witnessed by academic and publishing leaders, including Prof. Qing Lan, Prof. Kisaburo Sakamoto, Prof. Nianguo Dong, Prof. Aihua Zhang, Prof. Hao Zhang, Prof. Shoujun Li, Prof. Xuming Mo, and Dr. Yi Yang.
This collaboration marks a new milestone in combining academic publishing with clinical expertise and will greatly enhance the global visibility of Asian research in the field of pediatric congenital heart disease.
