    Advances and perspectives on the gene mapping of root rot resistance in common beans

    Abstract Common bean was originated in México, and it is the most important protein source for millions of Mexicans, mainly those with low economic incomes. Grain yield of this crop is mainly affected by several fungal, bacterial and viral diseases. Among them, there are root rot diseases caused by the genera Macrophomina and Fusarium sp.
