Random Forest-Based Fatigue Reliability-Based Design Optimization for Aeroengine Structures

    Xue-Qin Li1, Lu-Kai Song2,3,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.140, No.1, pp. 665-684, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2024.048445

Abstract Fatigue reliability-based design optimization of aeroengine structures involves multiple repeated calculations of reliability degree and large-scale calls of implicit high-nonlinearity limit state function, leading to the traditional direct Monte Claro and surrogate methods prone to unacceptable computing efficiency and accuracy. In this case, by fusing the random subspace strategy and weight allocation technology into bagging ensemble theory, a random forest (RF) model is presented to enhance the computing efficiency of reliability degree; moreover, by embedding the RF model into multilevel optimization model, an efficient RF-assisted fatigue reliability-based design optimization framework is developed. Regarding the low-cycle fatigue reliability-based design optimization of… More >

Surge Fault Detection of Aeroengines Based on Fusion Neural Network

    Desheng Zheng1, Xiaolan Tang1,*, Xinlong Wu1, Kexin Zhang1, Chao Lu2, Lulu Tian3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.29, No.3, pp. 815-826, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.017737

Abstract Aeroengine surge fault is one of the main causes of flight accidents. When a surge occurs, it is hard to detect it in time and take anti-surge measures correctly. Recently, people have been applying detection methods based on mathematical models and expert knowledge. Due to difficult modeling and limited failure-mode coverage of these methods, early surge detection cannot be achieved. To address these problems, firstly, this paper introduced the data of six main sensors related to the aeroengine surge fault, such as, total pressure at compressor (high pressure rotor) outlet (Pt3), high pressure compressor rotor speed (N2), power level angle… More >

Extrapolation for Aeroengine Gas Path Faults with SVM Bases on Genetic Algorithm

    Yixiong Yu*

    Sound & Vibration, Vol.53, No.5, pp. 237-243, 2019, DOI:10.32604/sv.2019.07887

Abstract Mining aeroengine operational data and developing fault diagnosis models for aeroengines are to avoid running aeroengines under undesired conditions. Because of the complexity of working environment and faults of aeroengines, it is unavoidable that the monitored parameters vary widely and possess larger noise levels. This paper reports the extrapolation of a diagnosis model for 20 gas path faults of a double-spool turbofan civil aeroengine. By applying support vector machine (SVM) algorithm together with genetic algorithm (GA), the fault diagnosis model is obtained from the training set that was based on the deviations of the monitored parameters superimposed with the noise… More >
